Probably not quite what you imagined, but it's the best I could do....In reality I knew of this in another forum that I frequent and when I found it, it didn't fit this post, but since I went through the effort, I said the hell with it :P

Very happy about ALL of the developments. Stoked they are not stapled.

Greg, make sure you a group hoard pic of all the books before you send them out.

PRE-PAY info for HeroesCon flipbook blanks...

Post by greg »

Since sketches won't happen on these before they're shipped... if anyone wants a refund instead of the blank books, just let me know.

It's also possible that these books could be at SDCC if anyone wants to take the chance and possibly save a little money getting them without shipping costs.

In other words, refunds are available until Sunday night. :thumb:

Um, at the risk of sounding like a noob, what is it?

I'm having difficulty imagining everyone being so excited about a book of 72 blank pages... :?

It's a flipbook with blank covers for sketches. Harbinger on one side. X-O on the other. The insides are the full guts of X-O 1 and Harbinger 1.

Only the covers on each side are blank. The actual issues of X-O #1 and Harbinger #1 are bound together inside in flip book fashion. Read X-O in one direction. Flip it over and read Harbinger starting from the other side.
Spooooon!!!!

Dude, if I get one of these and ever get a creator to do sketches, that's what I'm having him draw and write on the cover.

My apologies for never having heard of such a thing before. I hear "sketch book" and visualize blank pages.

I need to correct myself on this. VEI won't have a booth at SDCC, so if any books remain unsold from HeroesCon, they'll be offered at the next con with a VEI booth.

Fred said we're OK to go over 100 copies for the board (and I think we already have), so I can keep taking pre-pays until Sunday night... maybe later, but don't risk it if you want to be sure.

It appears this idea (blank sketch flipbooks) were a hit on the first day, so it's possible something similar will be done again in the future. I don't think people will get tired of getting sketches anytime soon. :P
