Looking for an issue with an ad

I won the artwork from a Valiant ad. I'm trying to find an issue that has said ad so I can have them both in my art portfolio.

Could anyone tell me an issue this appeared in?



I distinctly remember it but can't remember where I saw it.

It wasn't listed as unpublished. I swear I remember seeing it somewhere. Maybe one of the Valiant Voices.

It goes nicely with my other three Valiant ads

a Butch Guice Eternal Warrior ad (I'm still searching for that one but that has to be late Valiant)
a Bernard Chang Visitor ad (Thanks Dan!)
and
a Mike Manley ad from Birthquake (got it from Mike Manley)

Post it in the art forum. I dont recall it off the top of my head. I'll look tomorrow though. I saw it when Ron listed it, for some reason I was thinking it was unpublished.

It was a poster in a magazine, comic values monthly or something like that, I used to have it.

Very impressive to remember that image, but I am afraid that it is not exactly the same. It is very similar in composition. I wonder if possibly the one asked for here is a preliminary version. The poster is stapled into the book (did I possibly get it from you?) but it also shows the pencils separately. It's by Layton, it's landscape and has the characters (no Dr Mirage). more beside each-other.

Are you referring to the one where he is standing next to a plane? That was one of my favorite drawings of EW back in the day.

Are you referring to the one where he is standing next to a plane? That was one of my favorite drawings of EW back in the day.

Yeah. I need to get it scanned in. At the time I bought it, the guy had that ad art and an Overpower card art (which is another thing I'm a sucker for) I had to choose. I think I chose well.

That could be what I remembered. I'll keep searching but my Valiants are all out of order since I moved a couple of years ago.

Your right and yea, you probably got it from me in a big package of Valiant Mags. So it looks like there were a few different drawings with these character's together for advertisement. I always liked the ones I'v seen, this one is no acception. Thanks for Sharing Chess
