Yeah, that looks a bit better than VF. :insane:

You don't really want that ugly book do you? Let me know if you want to get rid / trade it. :thumb:

Well there is a crease along the bottom right corner that the scanner doesn't pick up.....eh, I may hold onto it....turns out I may have just snagged a great deal that the guys on the CGC forums are chatting about, we'll post pics when the book is in my hands. This deal could turn out to be the best buy of the year, and that's saying a lot because I've been very active on ebay the past 6 months...

Cool. :thumb: It's odd that a CGC dude let the book go without knowing what it was (I found the thread).

Personally, I'd rather find an Invincible #1 though. Batman is played out. :poke: :lol:

Scored this comic sized program from another seller who remembered I liked collecting Broadway Comics stuff:

It has the same cover art as Knights on Broadway #1 with a green outline:

'Tain't no Invincible #1 for 3 bones, but I got the following stuff for $17.20 ($1 per book plus tax). Mainly for reading:

Q&W tpb Director's Cut
Q&W tpb KYAG
Q&W tpb Holy S-word
a couple of mid grade Supes Whitmans (probably shouldn't have bothered with these)
X-Factor 227, 229, 230
Prophet 23
Chew 23, 24, 27 2nd
Uncanny X-Men 268 - F/VF - this is one of those books that looked alot better in the bag
ASM 30, 31
And the best of the bunch - A 9.6-ish copy of ASM 36. Based on the other books in the boxes I pulled it from,I'm surprised this one was nice.

Good price Lee...I remember the set of 4 of those Q&E TPBS were $100 or so. Did you find any PGX books in there? :P

Is that what they do at Heroes? I wonder if it's the same for Wizard and their prototypes?

All I know is a few years ago I sold my Comico Primer 2 CGC 9.6 x 2 to make space, and regret it ever since. So Grendel is a painful topic.

Yes, well. If you have any more CGC Comico Primer 2s taking up space, give your old friend Chiclo a holler. I have several copies already so it is okay if I have a pretty one encased in plastic.

Sorry, but I am all out right now. Bizarre Sex 9 CGC 9.6 (1st Omaha the Cat Dancer), Caliber Presents 1 CGC 9.6 (1st Crow) and a few others - not a problem.

Ok... This really isn't a major deal to brag about(as far as price goes), but I'm pretty happy with this find at the Toronto ComicCon this past weekend;

RAI 0, 1 & 5, EW 4... $30 total.

They're all in really great shape - I'm not good at determining exact grades, but they all have sharp corners, flat surfaces & nice glossy inks... The RAI 0 looks really pristine to me, the RAI #1 has two 1/8th - 3/16th" spine creases, the RAI 5 has one slight spine crease and an odd but faint 1/4" wrinkle in the middle of the title page, and the EW 4 has only one 1/8th spine crease on the cover side.

One vendor actually had quite a bit of Valiant, but he was steep on his prices for a lot of it... Saw a Unity 1 Gold for $80... and he had Unity 2000 1-3. I can't remember the price on those.
I like to draw stuff... http://grendeljd.deviantart.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My wife likes to draw stuff too, and she is better than me! [I'm very proud of her]... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sara-Dec ... ref=stream" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not THAT amazing of a deal but still I think a pretty good price compared to what they usually go for

Congrats! I'd call that a pretty good deal on those Voices. Last set I sold went for over $90.

I just needed one of them so I didn't want to pay $50... congratulations on the pick up. I will keep looking for my last one :hope:

Just kidding around. Great pickup, but I don't collect Valiant newsletters. But still a cool purchase nonetheless. :clap:

Nice pick-up. I have been looking for 18 and 19 for the last year.
