Valiant 2012 Long Beach Comic Con with Booth & Panel Photos

Post by drmirage »

With loads of VF Fan members not being able to get the chance to be present at Long Beach Comic Con, I would like to impart my experience with some photos. Perhaps with these imagery and smiles, you can all imagine that you were in attendance with me.

My first response in seeing the Valiant booth was WOW! This is the 1st West Coast appearance of the Valiant since the re-launch. It’s an amazing feeling to know that Valiant taking the time to exhibit at conventions like LBCC. (You can see the large banners of Archer & Armstrong and Shadowman at the Valiant booth) This tells you that Valiant is trying to spread the word out, they are giving an opportunity to speak to new fans and readers on how great these comics are at these events.

I wore my OTV (Only the Valiant) T-shirt and was recognized quickly by Dinesh Shamdasani, Atom! Freeman and Joshua Dysart. These guys were very positive and enthusiastic to interact with fans and to share how thrilled and excited they are about future of Valiant.

In any event, I told the Valiant team that my main purpose in being at this convention (with my family) is to see the Valiant booth, purchase Valiant con exclusives, attend the Valiant panel and meet the creative team along with other Valiant fans.

That being said, I highlighted that if the distance and time schedule isn’t a factor, ALL the Valiant Fan Members would be here at the convention to support how wonderful Valiant comics has been.

Another time, Josh, Atom! And especially Dinesh mentioned that they are extremely thankful for those who are supporting Valiant especially the Valiant Fan Members.
There were great conversations throughout the day discussing on how excited Valiant is with its upcoming plans and releases.

It was a pleasure to see Dr Solar, Elveen (with his family), Blood Of Heroes and Ramses818 at the convention.

On a side note: I had the pleasure of finally meeting some of the cast/crew of OTV. These guys are so awesome!
They put their heart and soul into every single episode that is released to bring everyone information on the latest news and discussions about Valiant Comics.
It was really nice to see them LIVE in action.... doing what they do best.

Overall, I was at the convention from 10:00am until 12:30pm. I would have loved to have stayed the entire day with these guys. Saying that it was awesome experience would be an understatement because I know many fans would have loved to have been there, but didn't get a chance to. These guys are truly some of the nicest, friendliest people and fans in the whole comic book industry.

Looks awesome! Wish I could make it to one of these someday. Probably Orlando, FL would be the closest to me. Have to see if there are any comic cons gonna be there and if Valiant will be representing!

Great photos, thanks for sharing.

That looks like a good con, not too crowded. I went to the first con here in Calgary and it was so crowded you couldn't even move, every year they expand it and every year it gets more crowded. I haven't been back after that first one.

This con looks like it was nice and relaxed giving you a chance to enjoy the expierence without someone smashing a stroller in to you forcing you to squeeze up to a fat smelly guy so they can get by (shudder).

Looking forward to the Podcast :thumb:

No Rufus, YOU are the coolest.

But, yes, Josh is the coolest. He's got so much enthusiasm for these books. After talking to him (or any of them), you really get the feeling that these characters we all love are in good hands.
