Just bought Noble Causes: Family Secrets #3b (1st Invincible appearance albeit cameo) for $4.95 bin on ebay. Now it just needs to arrive intact.

Sweet!! That the one with Megatron & Shockwave fighting on the cover, right? Big throw-down brawl inside? Man, I love issues 5 through 12 of that run... The cover of #5 was awesome, very unusual to see such a cool painted image back then.Cyberstrike wrote:I just got the following:

Yep and it was the first comic that I ever had. My orginal copy was destroyed to my over-reading it.grendeljd wrote:Sweet!! That the one with Megatron & Shockwave fighting on the cover, right? Just picked up SAGA 1 RRP CGC 9.8 SUMMIT C2E2 DIAMOND RETAILER!
I think I might 2-6 CGC'd 9.8's as well. One thing I noticed about Saga. It only has 1 variant!

I once found a little Archie sized digest reprint that had #5 & 6 in it, as a kid - I had it for years before finally getting the original issues... it was heavily care-worn

The one with the X-Men cover rip is more valuable. Is it that one?

Yep. That's the "b" cover. That one always moves better because there's an Invincible poster on the cover.

Re: Discuss Your Comic Purchases
Purchases from yesterday:
Shadowman #1
Moloch #1
Colder #1
BPRD #100
Bloodshot Hardcover
Dark Horse Presents #17
I glanced through, but didn't read, Colder #1. Love the art, and it seems interesting. Will probably wait until all issues are out before I read though.
I was surprised but Ghost was sold out. I had forgetten to add it to my pullbox last time I was in but figured it wouldn't sell out. He is backordering it for me though. Even he was surprised he sold out (I asked him if he could back order it for me and he swore he still had it...but unfortunately not). I am really looking forward to that series as well as "X."

Yes. Got it in the mail Friday. Cool cover and it shows Invincible on the cover, which is a bonus I think. Now, I want to get Hellboy's 1st appearance in Next Men. Hellboy and Invincible are my favorite non-VEI books going.

I just picked up Uncanny Avengers #1 yesterday on a whim. And I'm glad I picked it up! By the time I got to the last page, I was clapping at the outlandishness of the concept. It's like an old school comic.

Amazing Spiderman # 9 CGC 4.5 - if I'm gonna spend good money it's going into silver age or key issues, not modern variants.

Very nice. I don't covet many CGC books, but I'd really love to get a 9.8 #1 and a 9.8 SS #1 with both sigs. But without those nasty little bindery corner tears which CGC overlooks as a production flaw.

I have a few 9.8s of #1, but none slabbed. I don't plan to send them in either as I've sent books in and they come back with dings they didn't have when I sent them and that just *SQUEE* me off even if they come back 9.8. If I buy CGC, I like to be able to look at the book I'm buying already inside the slab regardless of the grade.

Today I picked up Harbinger, X-O, Amazing Spider-Man 698, Great Pacific 1, Comeback 1, as well as first issues of Captain America, and Indestructible Hulk. Oh, and another copy of the Shadowman 1 pullbox 'cause he was my favorite Valiant character and I'm excited to have it back.

X-O #7, Harby #6, Hawkeye #4, 4090 (mini from Retrofit)
X-O was great, Harby blew me away, Hawkeye was hilarious and fantastic, the mini was a cool sci-fi story with a bit of a Jack Kirby feel to it.
