The Valiant Free View lives on!

Carson wrote:I, like many of you, have a hoarding problem. I buy more comics than I need, and then I have headaches trying to safely store them. I participated in Paradise's many awesome deals, but that left me with many doubles I simply don't need.

I've found a solution for that problem, and hopefully it is one that will help grow Valiant sales.

I created a new kind of Valiant Free View: one where you give fellow patrons of your LCS their first Valiant comic.

It was simple, and you can do it too!
1. First I created a flyer explaining why this awesome free comic ended up in their box. [I'll send you my PSD if you want to work off of that]
2. Then I printed 20 copies and inserted them into bagged and boarded Valiant #1s (Bloodshot, Harbinger, or XO).
3. Then I gave them to my LCS and asked that they stick them in the pull-boxes of readers that have similar interests. So, if someone likes Conan or Iron Man, give them a copy of XO. If someone likes the Punisher then give them Bloodshot, etc. They thought it was a great idea and were happy to do it.

So, my doubles are now all cleared out and I feel better about trying to grow the Valiant fan base!

If you want my flyer PSD, PM me with your email address and I'll be happy to send it along.

Here's some photos documenting the event.

Here's a look at the flyer:

Here's my request that if they like it, they buy the next issue, and if they don't they return it to the shop so the LCS can stuff it in someone else's pull-box:

I would like to thank Carson for getting me set up with the Valiant Free-View flyer. I gave my LCS (Cup o' Kryptonite in Des Moines) nine issues of VALIANT comics to give out for free with the flyer (the books were 1 - A&A #1, 1 - X-O #1, 2 - Harbinger #1, and 5 - Bloodshot #1 & 2 sets).

The owner is really passionate about comics and refused to just give them out to anybody. Instead he decided to give the free comics to people who would have the potential to start reading each of the valiant series's. Specifically the owner decided to give the books out to people who were already buying at least one VALIANT title or to people who were already buying similar comics. On Wednesday of last week he gave away all of the A&A, X-O, and Harbinger books, as well as a couple of Bloodshot. The owner e-mailed me today and said that because of the 'Free-View" he now has one new person subscribing to A&A, one new person subscribing to Harbinger and one new person subscribing to X-O. THREE NEW PEOPLE - SUCCESS!!!! We are going to try and set it up to do this again with nine more free comics next month.
Pull List: I only buy TPB's, HC's and Hellboy comics

To give you guys a little follow-up of my VALIANT Free-View. Just for doing it, VEI decided to send me the following gold book:

I also decided to keep the postage stamp that was on the package because it had a valiant logo on it. You can see it popping out behind the book at the top left corner.

Pretty awesome gift for just promoting VALIANT. VEI really takes care of us fans :thumb:

Also here is a link to the feedback I have gotten from the VALIANT Free-View round II:
