Bane always reminded me of a hairy gerbil for some reason. What's up with all the back hair on a bad guy?

I am already nominating this for an Eisner award. Amazing amazing amazing book at all levels. When Matt Fraction is given projects that have an indie feel to it, he's really good. And of course David Aja showing us how to tell a story in comic book form. I also love the ridiculousness of the overwhelming purple down to the underwear.

I finally finished Dragon Age: The Silent Grove and it's a damn good read it really helps that if you played both Dragon Age video games the artwork is really great.

Been reading a couple of things:

Echo by Terry Moore. I was first introduced to Terry Moore by reading Rachel Rising (which I like and am waiting for the trades) so tried Echo. Echo is really awesome. I like Moore's simple art and story telling. I am at issue 20 and excited to read the last 10 issues. My only question is why does Moore make all his protagonists women and main characters mostly women? I don't have a problem with it, just curious.

Also I am Reading Invincible. Just finished issue #12. I forgot how awesome this story is. Also I never realized how few issues cory walker actually penciled ( like 6-7 issues). Does anybody know why he left? His art did really suck, but as a creator I am surprised he would leave.
Pull List: I only buy TPB's, HC's and Hellboy comics

I'm going back to read some material I have not looked at in a long time.

- Aliens #1-6 (1988 series)

- Predator #1-4 (1st series)

- Terminator: The Burning Earth #1-5 (1st Alex Ross professional work)

I want to see if these stories still hold up after all these years.

Cool. I have the complete Echo to read still. Haven't read a single issue yet. I loved Strangers in Paradise, but it dragged on for a while. I've only read the first issue of Rachel Rising, but will likely get it in trades as well.

As far as why he draws women the most, it's what he is known for - drawing pretty, but not over-sexualized women. That's probably why the Luna brothers usually stick with girls as the main character as well. Also, if you've ever heard Moore speak, he's not the gruff manly type.

Like Tony Moore on The Walking Dead, Cory Walker couldn't keep up with a monthly schedule at all. In order for the books to have a shot, Kirkman had to get new artists on both his books. Those artists saved the books that went on to become extraordinarily successful. Cory Walker's dot eyes always bothered me. He has gotten alot better now, but is still no Ottley.

Although Tony Moore's and Kirkman's relationship is torn, Walker still does character designs on Invincible and fills in for Ottley. It's good to see an amicable relationship between the creators like that.

Revival #4 - I don't quite get what is going on in this book now. I think I need to re-read all the issues again.

Finished reading Echo and really enjoyed it. Not completely sure what happened at the end, but I don't think I really need to. I like using my imagination.

Also read the first three issues of Strangers in Paradise by Terry Moore. I like this series. It has a fun feel to it. I bought the first couple of trades from comixology. (Btw - I don't know how i feel about having use the comixology app to read comics bought off of comixology. I would prefer to own the file and be able to have the comixology books with the rest of my digital collection in my CZ reader.)

Been reading Cerebus High Society digitally. Dave Sim is putting out an issue of High Society out every week for a dollar an issue. They are at issue 4 of High Society (Cerebus #29). Love cerebus high society (see cerebus downloads.com to buy the issues directly or you use comixology) and think a dollar an issue is the perfect price.

You'll like SiP. There's a very long period where it feels like the story isn't progressing because it isn't. The end is very good though.

Reed Gunther Vol 1 - Great, fun all ages read.

Simpsons Treehouse of Horror 2012 - I just bought this for the story from the brothers who did Reed Gunther. Turns out that was the only good story.

Peter Panzerfaust Vol 1 - I tried this in singles and it didn't really stick, but I kind of liked it. As a trade, Peter Panzerfaust worked on nearly all levels. It has action, adventure, relationship drama, etc. There were some storytelling problems art-wise as there often is with new series by new artist, but nothing that can't be smoothed out going forward. I'm on board for the trades. Quite a beautiful story.

picked up Planetary TPBs 1-4...just started...seems like it's gonna be a good read

Fables TPB 15

of course with Fables it just means I have to go back and reread the first 14 TPB's...nuthin wrong with that :thumb:

I picked up and read Bedlam #1 and thought it was good (not great). I won't do any spoiler, but I am wondering if I need to read more issues before I can completely commit.

What was everybody else's throughts on Bedlam?

It was definitely a meaty read for $3.50. I had to read it in 3 different sittings so I need to go back and read the whole thing when I get a chance.

I liked it alot. I think this should be more of a straight-forward story than Morning Glories so I'm looking forward to it.

It was a big old issue and VERY wordy. It's not for me either and I'm out. I didn't really get along with the world crafted and the concept seems like its going to take a while to actualise.

Planetary is one of the best series I've read. Shame there's not more of it, but what exists is great. As for Fables...still a very good series, but wow, is it uneven these days.
