I've read: Dark Empire, Dark Empire II, and I started Tales of the Jedi.

all have been enjoyable, not outstanding, probably between good and very good (at points).

I enjoy the Star Wars mythos but was a bit dissapointed with some of the stuff in the books (Boba Fett still alive, the Emperor doing his spirit swap in new bodies).
The current Boba Fett: Blood Ties minis have been pretty good. Darth Vader & The Ghost Prison and Agent of the Empire have been surprisingly awesome and unpredictable.

Also the "Invasion" run is a reliable read but that seems to be on hiatus again. Most of the titles written by Tom Taylor are good StarWars reads too.

Other than the Valiant books, I only picked up TWD #105 this week. Great issue.

With ASM 700 coming next week, I went back and re-read ASM 600. What a great book. $4.99 for 100+ story pages. The Doc Oc stuff has been going on for a while. Nice to see payoff.

Just read Danger Club 1-4. Really cool book. Very interesting story with a twist at the end of #4 and the characters are intriguing, especially the ones that are giving a nod to mainstream characters like Batman and Nick Fury. Can't wait to read the rest of these.

The issues since then have been good, but that was a really good jump off point.

I'm sick of Negan. It might just be me but I think Kirkman admires him. Anybody who finds him admirable is a questionable person.

They might not like him...but I think Kirkman-who is setting him up as the new lead, I think-finds him some sort of "real man" in much the way people around certain parts of the internet found Shand some sort of "real man" the more insane and paranoid he acted. Whatever. I wash my hands of such garbage.

Saga #7 was so good. Always beautiful yet sometimes grotesque art and the story of the main characters feels like an honest relationship. It's classic with a nouveau spin in regards to time and place.

My favorite non-Valiant book.

Have yet to read All New X-men #4. I'm really liking this book! Also picked up Cable & X-Force #2. Not on my list anymore is X-men Legacy. Didn't move me.

Once more with feeling: SAGA

This week I read X-O and harby (naturally), Saga #8, Happy! #3, and Hawkguy #6. Loved 'em all. Also just started on the Nexus Omnibus Vol 1 that my gf got me as an early Festivus present.

Just read (in order of awesomeness, from least to most)

Avengers #2
Harbinger #7
Daredevil #21
X-O Manowar #8

and top

Hawkguy #6

I don't think there's a current mainstream American superhero comic book that can touch Hawkeye right now. Brilliant all the way. Entertaining and technically outstanding at the same time.

I still have 4 - 6 waiting to be read, but based on 1-3, you may be right.

But over the longhaul, Invincible is still better. :P

Read Fables: Fairest TPB last night and loved it! Superb story, interesting characters and the artwork by Jiminez was spectacular. The last issue though had absolutely nothing to do with the story and I'm not sure why it was included. It was horrible and they should have just left it out. I'd give this book 8/10 :thumb:

That last issue was the "bridge" issue between the two arcs. It's set up to be a series of small arcs, often unrelated, with various creative teams. My understanding is Willingham is overseeing the selection of teams and approving stories and they've charted out 2 years worth of stories.

It was just plain awful. After reading an incredibly crafted and beautifully illustrated story in the first six issues and then see the horrendous art and bad story that issue #7 contained, it just clashed so much.
