Re: VALIANT ECCC Panel?
I attended. It was good. Dinesh, Fred Pierce, Hunter Gorinson, Barry Kitson and Stefano Gaudiano were in attendance. They discussed the existing titles and where Harbinger Wars was going. Interesting tidbits were that Bloodshot was in development and being shopped to studios, they will be giving away one of the X-O luge uniforms at some point, tons of new Harbinger characters will feature in Harbinger Wars. There was a lot of discussion on where story lines were going (expect a Master Darque origin story) and the artists discussed style and process.
They gave away bagged copies of X-O #1 golds to attendees. There were probably 30-40 people in the room.
No news on new titles, but Ninjak, Rai and Eternal Warrior were raised as releases at some point in the future. Apparently, the editor will choose titles based on the best pitch by the creators.
Separately at the table I snagged a promo card for a new card set that will be produced.
There were at least 2 reporters in the room, so I'm sure there will be a better report out next week. I didn't take any notes.
Free swag at the tables: Harbinger Wars Sketch Book, Harbinger Wars Checklist one sheet, X-O/Harbinger Wars poster.
Interesting Merch: Flip books, new releases, Shadowman and Valiant logo t-shirts (the only thing I didn't buy), the Summer of Valiant book.
Barry did me a sketch of Bloodshot (his new title) and Stefano sketched X-O for me, both on the flip books. They look great and I'm really glad they made it to Seattle.
Best,
Steve

Re: VALIANT ECCC Panel?
All the news sites tend to take their sweet time getting reports up, except for Marvel and DC, who they will live feed.
I'm going to keep checking with Valiance Dave here: http://valianceforvaliant.com/
I know he's at the con, so I am sure he attended and will post.
Even so, I figured someone was more likely to post here before any of the news sites got around to it.

I figured this would be light on major news. Maybe the news sites will have some new art for us via VEI.

Forgot to add, there will be a new QR variant and this time it will be a goat! No other details were offered. Get those goat inaction figures while they're still cheap!

Nope, that was real. It does sound like a total hoax, doesn't it? I can only assume Q&W will make an appearance, but no confirmations were given.

Thanks for sharing the info!
I'm mildly surprised they handed out XO golds instead of Harbinger as that is the current one... Is there a bigger con coming up soon that they are saving those for? As in, a more 'official' release?

Thanks for the news. It appears VEIs giving out mixed gold books at different conventions. X-O Golds instead of Harbinger or A&A Golds.

Thanks for the report Jadie.
I guess the Goat QR was the most surprising scoop. So it seems like Q&W will be for real. I wonder who's writing it? And the Darque #0 will be interesting too.

and that reminds me .... where is Rai??? He was supposed to appear in the spring according to the promo from last year. Where is he? Doesn't look like that's happening now since we would have heard of it by now.

Re: VALIANT ECCC Panel?
Well if KB's source is accurate, the Harbinger Wars Countdown Clock will begin a new countdown when it hits zero. That would be in April, and if its RAI, then it matches the Spring 2013 tease at least somewhat. Hopefully it coincides with a tease in one of the books. It would be nice, for a change, to have a genuine surprise inside a book that isn't leaked or teased months in advance.Crow331 wrote:and that reminds me .... where is Rai???
