Valiant Energy Shots!

Picked this pamphlet up at the Valiant Booth this weekend....look neat, but I try to avoid these things...if they can do it without all the caffeine and dangerous ingredients that are in most energy-type drinks this may be pretty cool, but if they're anything like 5-Hours or stuff like that I'd recommend collecting rather than consuming.

I may pick some up for the novelty aspect, but not into energy drinks.

I really like Valiant as a company, but I really hope these energy drinks are just a one-off, I really can't dig this idea at all!

Is VEI gonna get these into convenience stores? Talk about some exposure! Or are they gonna sell them in the web store?

The pamphlet says they'll be available from Diamond, so I think they'll only be in comic stores.

Funny story: I called my LCS to ask what time they closed, as we were going out for dinner and were running late for our reservations. The guy says, "Oh, it's Saturday, so it's game night. It gets pretty wild here, so we don't close until 1am or so."

I detest energy drinks. Red Bull should never be an ingredient in an alcoholic drink. It's like, "here, pour this whisky down a toilet!"

Interesting... a lot of comic shops are also gaming shops... I wonder if that's what Valiant had in mind for these. Gaming guys usually don't care about comics, but energy drinks...

Hey, whatever puts more money in VEI's pockets is good for the company. The books will keep getting published if the properties are making money and the books aren't necessarily setting the world on fire.
