I'm pretty happy about this one... going to clear off a shelf for them at work so curious co-workers will check 'em out. :thumb:

Most of my books are at my parents house (2 states away). I was there recently and came across a big purchase I made a few years ago. I was on a job in Long Island and came across the following in a $1.50 bin.

Shadowman #1
XO #1/2
Chaos Effect Omega Gold
Hard Corp #1 Gold
Turok #1 Gold
Rai & Future Force #9 Gold
Unity #1 Platinum
Unity #1 Gold
Deathmate Orange & Pink Preview
Deathmate Yellow Gold
Deathmate Blue Gold

I swear I also picked up a Unity Red but it's not with the others. I'll have to go look again next time I'm there.

Nice haul at 1.50/piece, or in total? How long ago was that? I can't see a bulk lot of valiant golds going dirt cheap these days...

Complete run of Kyle Baker's Plastic Man (1-20)
Complete run of 52
About 200 Superman comics from 2000-2005
An almost complete run of Punisher (Marvel Max series)
Quite a few bronze age Flash issues

All out of the hundred or so 10-centboxes at Heroescon. Seems like these went out early this year too...usually quarter boxes are as good as you get Friday and Saturday and they don't bring out the dime'rs until Sunday, but folks were bringing these out all weekend.

Also (from the same guy I got the recent Valiants for 25-cents each I got a TON of recent comics all for a quarter...a lot of Marvel NOW stuff, bunch of New 52, Lost Vegas #1 through 3, Prophet 22 through 30, all for a quarter.

Another friend got both Walking Dead Compendiums for $20 each.

Some guy had a whole table of Walking Dead trades for $5 each.

I love cons!!!

That was about 7 years ago. They were $1.50 a piece. At the time, I had pretty much stopped collecting comics except for looking for old Valiants. I kind of forgot I had all of them. I was even surprised to see so many that cheap then.

Tim - Nice haul!

That is one bummer about setting up at cons, I don't get to dig the boxes much.

If you set up your booth early enough, you can start digging other folks' boxes and get first dibs before the crowd comes in. I see this happen all the time with other dealers whenever I get there early.

Great score Dan! That's one of the coolest things about comics, a few years ago you could have picked that issue up all day long for just a buck or two....
