It was from my lcs. He has been in the midst of planning a move of his shop to a larger location for quite some time. Because of this he's been taking all the variants for all of the comics he orders to his house. I am his longtime 'Valiant guy', so he always puts all of the Valiant stuff in my pull box. He's a really cool dude. He gives me all the posters and promo items he gets. So, because of the impending move I have not been getting the variants in my pull box. Normally he would sell them to me at a discount over what I could get them on E-bay, but still more than cover. This time he sold them all to me at cover because he had put me off for so long on bringing the variants in for me. I told him they were worth a lot more than cover, but he insisted. It was a pretty sweet day for me! :D

Deal of the year for sure! I have gotten some variants for cover based on my relationship with my LCS, but nothing to this extent. These are the stand-up guys that know good business.

Psi-Lords #1 VVSS for cover price ($3.50) at a local store who didn't know what they had!!!
Turok #1 VVSS from milehigh comics of all places for $7.77 after 60% off sale
Bloodshot #6 the VVSS related book (used here to make sure I was buying to correct one) on ebay for $25.00
Rai #9 VVSS on ebay for 13.94

I would also like to add a huge THANK YOU to whomever outbid me on yesterday's Psi-Lords #1 VVSS ebay auction, I put in my bid the day before I found it for cover price so you saved me some money there :thumb:

You should have bought the Harbinger Gold as well. That Rai was a steal though :clap: and if you are still looking for a Psi Lords VVSS there is another with no bids on ebay starting at 45 which ends in 8 hours.

I mentioned this in another post, but I figured it fit in this thread. I found a Bloodshot 30 and 32, both are 2.50 price variants, for $1 each at a local antique mall. They have a room full of long boxes with dollar comics. I knew if I dug around enough I would find something good. I also got a Unity Saga TPB Vol. 2 in the same place for - you guessed it - $1.

Got a Shadowman Black retailer preview thingie for $26 off eBay today. Seemed like those things were going for $75+ not too long ago. Hoping it's in pretty good condition and that it at least holds that value. :hope:

So this was a good score no matter what....

http://www.ebay.com/itm/360688624126?ss ... 1439.l2649

...but today I was looking at the picture closely. Take a look at the Volume 3, #2. It's barely visible, but if these are the actual books I'm getting I just scored huge. :hope:

HINT: http://www.valiantfan.com/valiant/issue.asp?cn=612" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

According to the tracking #, I should see it today. *SQUEE* can't wait.

I think I may have snagged both the Visitor v Valiant price variants for less than $6 total. I haven't received them yet, but assuming I get what was posted in the picture, I should have them. I figured it was worth a chance.
