Re: Unity #1/2
It could be just an earlier promo image that was later changed to Shadowman 13.5. No mention of the free offer in solicits, retailer or otherwise.

No mention of Unity 1/2 anywhere other than on this cover
No mention on facebook Valiant page
No mention in the description for this issue
Seems kind of strange
I'm getting it anyway for Shadowman 13X ... but i'm suspicious about this Unity 1/2 offer. Just need to see some more info on it and confirmation that this is real.

I wonder if this will be offered in the future. Somebody goofed, but it probably was based on something real. The 1/2 issue might yet still arrive.

Maybe since 1/2 was Wizard's thing, and X seems to be Bleeding Cool's thing, it will become Unity #X (where "#" is an issue number)?nycjadie wrote:I wonder if this will be offered in the future. Somebody goofed, but it probably was based on something real. The 1/2 issue might yet still arrive.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Makes sense, and x2 promo books for one issue seems like overkill in hindsight (and hey, everything is easier to judge with hindsight), especially with the price drop as well.Heath wrote:Maybe since 1/2 was Wizard's thing, and X seems to be Bleeding Cool's thing, it will become Unity #X (where "#" is an issue number)?nycjadie wrote:I wonder if this will be offered in the future. Well, "X" was a VH1 thing, at least for one issue.Heath wrote:Maybe since 1/2 was Wizard's thing, and X seems to be Bleeding Cool's thing, it will become Unity #X (where "#" is an issue number)?nycjadie wrote:I wonder if this will be offered in the future. Re: Unity #1/2
It will be cool if this does happen for a Unity issue. I always liked the Wizard #1/2 issues. I know they were gimmicks and all, but it felt a little special. Sending in coupons was like when you saved box tops for send offs. Sure, you could just buy something similar for probably less than you paid for the shipping and less work, but the earning it made it cool.

Re: Unity #1/2
Think we could convince Greg to add Unity 1/2 to the price guide anyway, and point people to this image as evidence of its existence?

Just watch. Unity #1/2 will soon descend from rumor to legend and then legend to myth. 20 years from now this will be the long lost issue no one has ever seen that a friend of a friend who knew someone who heard from their drug dealer that they had another client who actually read the issue. Unity #1/2 will take on a life of its own now. I just know it.

You get one free if you order 50k copies of Bleeding Cool Magazinetchalla8 wrote:Just watch. Guess I should edit the title of this thread then..probably can't get it to today but if Greg or some other admin can do it to clarify, please do.

Yes, and it appears that the image in the first post was linked rather than uploaded separately, so now that it's been updated at the source it references the Shadowman issue.Dallow Spicer1 wrote:???
