Legions Of Steel
I don't know how many people around here are into tabletop mini's & wargames [Warhammer 40k, etc.]...
But for those of you who are, has anyone ever played Legions Of Steel? Its long out of print/production - but when I stumbled across it in the mid 90's I loved it so much I gave up on Games Workshop entirely. Its hard to track down now, but rulebooks & figures can still be found via eBay & some other websites that sell used games.
In any case, there is an active
Legions Of Steel Forum
for this game out there, not too many members but a decent little community of fans - some who are old school veterans, and a decent number of people who are still newly discovering it & trying to collect enough stuff to play. Some of the original creators are also still active members there too which is pretty cool.
In addition, there is also currently a new video game adaptation in development, which I am super excited to see happen!! A studio in France is running a
Kickstarter campaign
as we speak to fund it. I'd love to see this get made, so even if any of you haven't heard of LoS, please look at the kickstarter for the new video game, & back it if you like the look of it so far.
