XO Manowar Deluxe Edition Vol. 1

Post by BugsySig »

Got mine in the mail today and its fantastic! Great page quality and TONS of extras: interior and cover art in process, scripts, character designs and almost every cover gets the full-page treatment.

Being all digital now, I forget sometimes how amazing the books look in print. The art really pops and you can see the quality of Nord, Garbett and Hairsine's work. Can't wait to read through it all again on the printed page!

I'm really pleased to add this to my collection of VALIANT Masters and other VEI hardcovers. I've already preordered the Harbinger Deluxe Edition, and I really hope we get these for at least the first year's worth of issues for all the titles. I'd especially love to have A&A #0-13 in a Deluxe Edition.

Congrats

I can't wait to get mine with all the signatures from Elery and Bruce :thumb:

I definitely love these hard covers - I don't see myself buying anymore TPB's at this point.

I want one of these sooooo much. If I knew that VEI was gonna do them for all their series for the whole length of the series, I'd almost be tempted to wait for them. So much cheaper (especially if you get it on Amazon.com) and a beautiful hardbound volume to start with. I'm hoping to get the X-O and Harbinger ones for Christmas this year for myself.

Seriously. It was $27 from InStockTrades.com. $27 for 16 issues, hard bound, with 60 pages of extras! How do you beat that?

If you just want to read / borrow the issues..... VEI Lending Library beats this.. :) at about 10-11 cents per issue. (60+ issues total) :D

I just got mine too. I absolutely live it! Cannot wait for the Harbinger volume.
I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

I thought the Harbinger one doesn't come out til the 26th? I'm expecting my X-O hardcover very soon as well, and will definitely be getting Harbinger as well.

Same here, an A&A one would be amazing!

Hopefully we'll see a solicit soon for Bloodshot and/or A&A. Considering their 3rd arcs wrapped up in August/September, I figured we'd have seen them solicited by now.

Maybe they are waiting to see how these sell first? Even with the hard bound packaging, I can't imagine these are too expensive to produce since it's all reprinted material. It shouldn't take much in sales to break even or turn a profit.

Rai comes out the 26th at least that is what it says in the solicits anyway (I spelled that wrong)

I'm not normally a fan of hardcover collections, but these deluxe editions sound seriously tempting, especially for such a ridiculously great price.

I love my XO hardcover so much I didn't think twice and picked up the Harbinger one today.

Then I loaned it to a good friend tonight to try and get him hooked on Valiant.

I really wish I would've looked through it first :-)

At least I took the slip cover off so it won't get dinged up.

Are you talking about the Deluxe Editions or the VH1 hardcover collections? Because the harbinger Deluxe Edition doesn't come out for another couple weeks, unless you have some inside connection :hm:
