Central Coast Comic Con (Ventura Comic Con)
The C4 (Central Coast Comic Con) in Ventrua is this weekend. I did this show last year and it was one knotch above small. I'm setting up there again, and I just found out that the doubled the size.... so that's good. They also sold out of booths so again.... that's good.
Not sure if any of the WCC is going to be stopping by, but I'll be there.
Come by if you are there.

7 and 5 so still pretty young. I don't think they really read the comics at this point for content. I think they kind of gravitate to cool pictures and characters. That said though, they both like Avengers/Spider-Man and Star Wars.

You're the man! I was going to stop by anyway and try to impress the nephews by saying I know a real life comic book dealer.

I don't ask to take pics of peeps that often.... You sorta get use to seeing things at all the cons I go to, but the man is a legend.

We talked for about a min. Their was an air about him of: experience, weightiness, and mirth.Ramses818 wrote:That he is.these are the times you will always cherish!
He sorta felt like you were spending time with a Jedi.
A dude in the booth next to me use to work in a comic shop in town. He told me that he would often come in to the store, Grab some Groo books off the shelf, sketch in them and sign them, And put them back on the shelf.

He said he would do it on multiple books.
Not to sound overly dramatic (

I see tons of "famous" people at these shows, rarely do it stop someone and talk and ask for a pic.
I'm really glad I did this time.

I figured that each person probably only bought one each. Not everyone is as sick as me buying lots of copies of one book! Lol

Slightly better show than last year but that's not saying a whole lot. It was bigger but still feels like they kinda don't know what they're doing.
Good to see Elveen and thank you so much for the comics for my nephews!!!

You are welcome. Gotta get the young ones to read.
and I agree with you on the show..... I did have a good talk with one of the bosses..... I'm hoping he considers my suggestions.
The vibe I got from some of the dealers was ...... not enough.

My wife and I got to chat with Sergio Aragones a little bit at Wonder Con. He was just cool. Even my dad was impressed that we got to meet him.
We both agreed that we would rather meet him than Stan Lee.

Groo #1 has a close up of Groo with his left arm in the middle..... I saw a book some one got signed that S.A. drew a tat on Groo's arm. It looked sweet!
