Is Dr Mirage the first female to headline a Valiant book?
sorry if this question has been asked already or if I'm missing an obvious entry from VH1, but is Dr. Mirage the first female Valiant character to have her own book?

She seems to be the first female hero to have a self-titled book.
Technically Faith was the lead in the second iteration of Harbinger, and Carmen Mirage was a co-lead along with Hwen back in the day.
There was also a brief time when Aric's female head of security wore the XO armor, thereby making her XO Manowar.
And, of course, who could forget N.I.O.?

Trinity Angels?
I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

Those are both Acclaim books, not Valiant books.bygranddesign wrote:LOL ..i had no clue what you were talking about until I looked it upBugsySig wrote:

And I'd argue that headlining a book implies a singular character in the title.

Well, Valiant *did* file for a trademark for Livewire. That might have just been to preempt DC for grabbing the trademark for the Superman family character, but in order to seal the deal with a trademark, you kinda have to show intent to use it, so I expect we'll see at least a mini coming within the next year or so.mateo107 wrote:and hopefully Livewire will be the third.

I think she was a robot, so clearly fighting is not what she was designed for...jmatt wrote:Can you imagine trying to fight in those shoes?bygranddesign wrote:LOL ..i had no clue what you were talking about until I looked it upBugsySig wrote:

Re: Is Dr Mirage the first female to headline a Valiant book
With Faith #0 just announced for December - it definitely feels like there is a great focus on female characters right now which is awesome
Dr. Mirage .. Punk Mambo and now Faith
Hopefully Livewire soon ... And maybe Trinity Angels
I'd love to see a Sandria Darque -centric series, one shot or mini as well
