Comikaze 2014
I am so excited for this show.
Last year this show was amazing, and this year it is going to be HUGE!
It is Halloween weekend and the 1st day (Friday) is the 31st. It will be pure madness!
I can't wait. Also the guest list is TOP NOTCH! They have 3 of the top 6 or 8 guests in the industry: Stan Lee, Jim Lee, J Scott Campbell. Also Liefeld, Bendis, and other guest that will generate sales for a dude like me.
Also, I'm sure a grip of the WCVC will be out....... and I'll even have a surprise guest at my booth.

Does your surprise start with a D and end with an -inesh? Probably won't be going to this one unless I get last minute discount tickets or something. Hope it's a good show for you though!Elveen wrote:Ramses818 wrote:After buying and being at so many cons I really try to go out to Valiant cons only now..lol. If it is employee #4 don't you have to get Ed to approve it? You don't want to poach someone's employee now! I hear good things about this show and I know it is expected to be even bigger this year. I'd love to go, see the WCVC, maybe get a sketch or two and cover the convention for my Vlog. However, I have a huge family weekend planned at this AWESOME rustic house in Carmel Valley This place was built by hand in 1930 and still has a lot of its original charm but has been updated with tons of modern conveniences.

Here's a couple stills form the video I made last time I was there, the huge fireplace is double sided there is another side this exact same size on the inside of the wall they share a chimney it is HUGE. I can almost walk into it upright!

Yeah I re-read the parent post and I see that they wont. That's a bummer. Well I look forward to the show anyway. It's always a good time, and I am fairly excited about your secret guest there Elveen.

Do it. Easily one of my favorite shows of the year. I love the big stage in the main room. Gives it a cool feel.Ramses818 wrote:I hope so. If it is not I will hold Elveen personally responsible! I guess for me doing so many shows, anything that is different is good. Also, i might be in the perfect spot..... Just far enough away to not have it be a distraction.Ramses818 wrote:That is funny because that is one of my biggest dislikes. Lol. I may go but just for a day. I wil do what I can. But my coverage will be confined to Elveen's Comics, I'll be working my booth the entire time.
CANT wait for this show!

I'll be there. Got weekend passes. Looking forward to seeing everyone who's there. Hoping against hope for a Jim Lee sketch. I don't even know if he does that anymore at shows.
But that's kinda my holy grail item for cons. I don't really "do" lines, but I'd be willing to wait if I knew I was getting a Jim Lee sketch. Wonder if it'll have to be DC related? Hmmm.....
Elveen, Doc, and Dinosaur, I'll see ya there

I've seen Jim Lee sketches that he has done at cons, so I know he does sketch (or at least quick -ish sketches, I dont' think he does commissions). I know it's possible.
