Ok...I've searched the forum high & low...

...and I cannot figure out how to use a 'customized' avatar! So I'm stuck here. I have bee-you-tee-ful Bloodshot and Ninjak avatars which I made my very own self and I wanna use them! So who do I have to blow? LOL!

Upload them and then enter the URL on your profile page. Don't use geocities--you can't link directly to images from a geocities site.

Good luck. I'm trying to get my old animated avatar uploaded somewhere it'll display.

Excellent Jaknife...thanks!

I'm assuming they parse the urls "normally" so they can be linked to externally?

And by the way...phpBB does support the local storage of avatars and external uploading. I know because I use it on my heavy metal board and people upload their own avatars to the board all the time.

i'm trying to rememeber, but under the small thumbnail in your gallery, it has the url, and two other small links, but i dont rememeber them well. just sign up and you will see what i'm talking about.

They don't require that you register or nuthin'!

Thanks. I hadda recreate it, cuz I lost my old on in the Hard Drive Crash of Aught-Three. Plus Greg's quite the stickler for the 80 pixel rule for avatars now. :) I might re-do it and drop out part of the big red circle, so you can tell what's what and who's who...

Yep... the code automatically resizes "other URL" avatars to 80 pixel height.
It's a hardship, I'm sure. :wink:

how does yall be likin my 'i need no more acclaim' av? i remember harada said that, and i thought it was cool. i wish i could make it the same as the background color, and not just white.

alrighty...I can not figure out how to resize the following img so that I can use it as my avatar on the cgc board... it needs to be 65 x 75 pixels...is there some program that I could download or something...I am at work so I don really have anything that I can use to play with images...someone want to resize it for me and then post it back up here...
