Archer T-shirts SHIPPED. Next: SOLAR?
Hey guys, I've been waiting for Valiant to make an official Archer T-shirt but since that hasn't materialized I was considering getting one custom made (an ordinary grey star on a plain blue shirt can't be copyrighted). After shopping around, I was wondering if anybody else would be interested in getting one too. While I look the part, I think this is a shirt any Valiant fan could wear like the Seven Sages. If so, I could get a lower price at some companies that have minimum orders and if we get enough people on board we could get them for under $20.
I'm just putting this out there to see the interest level, please reply to this thread if you would definitely go in on this (no more than $25 + S&H, I could even deliver at no charge in person at Wonder Con). no need to pm me or send me money now (no, wait, you can send me money if you want
). Once I have some feedback I can get back with a quote and then we can finalize the details.
Also curious if anybody has done this before. I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing that could get me a gold book or a cease and desist.
****UPDATE****
per Dino's response, we're going to make no more than 25 of these. the final cost is $16/shirt (printing on front and back) + $4 S&H. free delivery to Wonder Con attendees. Orders are now closed.

I've done it before, message me if you have any questions.
I'm totally in! The only question is should the star be grey or purple?

I probably shouldn't mention until after I've got your money that I'm color blind...

Im in. Wondercon pick up would be awesome.

Can't go wrong with grey and blue.

Re: Archer T-shirt
I am interested, but I would encourage you to pm or email dino and run it by him to see if it is something that they have in their future pipeline or want to reserve for future production (in case of movie or TV). I think part of the process of doing any board project has always been getting dino's and VEI's blessing. Good luck!mateo107 wrote:I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing that could get me a gold book or a cease and desist.

Yes this. But if it does get Dino's blessing then I would be into 1 with a Wonder-Con pick up. XL please. Just let me know if you get clearance and how much.geocarr wrote:I am interested, but I would encourage you to pm or email dino and run it by him to see if it is something that they have in their future pipeline or want to reserve for future production (in case of movie or TV). Re: Archer T-shirt
I had inquired about an Archer t-shirt a while back and it seems that the company that they were dealing with for shirts basically were only going to make the shirt that they thought were going to sell. It was hinted at that once VEI was dealing with a new company that we would see an Archer shirt. (I'd really like to see one without any branding; I always think those are the most interesting, and more conducive to someone asking you about it, which opens the door for a conversation about the books.)
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

i really wouldn't worry about that. it's a tshirt with a star. not exactly recognizable as valiant related.mateo107 wrote:just to update you all, I tried reaching out to Dino but haven't heard anything from him yet.

good news everybody, Dino responded to me:

the price I'm looking at is $18/each (plus about $3 S&H if you won't be able to pick it up at Wonder Con) for an Ocean Blue Unisex Jersey Short-Sleeve T-Shirt with a Steel Grey star (as shown here).
if there's any objections/suggestions to the design or product, or if you can suggest a place where we can get the same quality at a lower price, please speak up now. this is the last call, I'm offering these at cost and won't be making any more than this, so once the order is placed there won't be any more available. I'll be finalizing the details with you this week (and I'll mark you off on the list above to confirm the purchase and size) so I can get them in time for Wonder Con.
so far, counting me and assuming everybody who expressed interest is on board, it looks like we have 7, so we're well within his guidelines.dino wrote:Very happy for you to make Archer t-shirts but do make sure they are clearly fan produced, not for profit and in a quantity of no more than 25.

Awesome! I would recommend adding the words "Sign-Up!" to the thread title and I bet you'll get to 25 lickety split. Thanks for doing this! I'm so hoping I can wear this to HeroesCon in Charlotte in June!

Done. and if we can get to 25 then it's only about $11 each. but I won't be taking any more once it's full so if you're #26 you won't get in.geocarr wrote:I would recommend adding the words "Sign-Up!" to the thread title and I bet you'll get to 25 lickety split.
and another thought, it'll add a little more to the cost but would we want to put "ValiantFans" on the back or something?

Re: Archer T-shirt
No offense and it's not my project. But since this is so limited, should this be limited to one per board member to give everyone a chance. I'd love one for my son as well as me, but I'd hate for another board member to miss out. Maybe open it up for a second shirt after a signup cutoff date and time if 25 board members don't sign up?
