The ALL NEW Valiant Comics Multi-Printings Thread

Since our dear brother StarBrand has stepped away from the boards, I intend to carry-on the tracking of all multiple printings in his honor. So, copying the info from his post (http://www.valiantfans.com/forum/viewto ... =1&t=41408" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and continuing on the good work.

The purpose of this thread is to establish a single, quick way to check to see if and when any new extra comic book printings from Valiant Entertainment are upcoming, thereby helping board members and visitors not to miss new Valiant issues when they go back to the printer, and to keep a handy list of them after they are released.

Release dates for Valiant Comics 2nd, 3rd, 4th (etc) printings to be posted in the top post of this thread. If you hear about one being released, please post it along with the release date in this thread and I'll add it to the top post. Thanks.

I can't believe Divinity 1-3 has that many printings. That's crazy. What a great book. I expect there will be good things from this. Reminds me (printings aside) of Harbinger 1 back in 1992. That book took off right out of the gate.

If I am looking at VEI history correctly, they appear to be keeping every book in print... so when it is still too early to order the trade paperback, they do another printing of the single issues that will be in that trade.

Since it's too early to order Divinity #1 in the trade, they've sold out of four printings of Divinity #1 and have to go to a fifth.

When they sell out of trades, they do additional printings of the trades... so it's always (theoretically) possible to read the VEI stories from the first 3 years for cover price (or trade paperback cover price).
If someone walked into a comic shop today and said, I want to read X-O #1 through #36... the retailer could order all of the trades and the latest (pre-trade) single issues from Diamond right then.

No prob Although, comiclist.com has #2 listed as a 2nd print, I think it's actually a 3rd. I'll see what I can dig up.

That's a tough one because I don't think they announce those. Since the trades are how they keep the stories in print, they just do a new printing whenever they have to.

Good catch! I do believe that was an error. A quick google check brings up articles about #1 being reprinted, nothing about #2. I've corrected the list.

I know that the x-o volume 1 is on a third print.
Harbinger 1 and Bloodshot 1 both are on second prints.
There are a few others on 2nds but I can't remember them.
I think I listed them in the old thread.

I made another trip to the comic store today and that seemed to be the case from what I saw. It wasn't on the list of new released.

The TPB print info would be gold. It isn't public. I haven't noticed any going to additional prints beyond the first volume in any given issue. Anyone else?
