Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Went to a local shop and they were asking $10 for Batman #40.
Also had Descender #1 (Image book) for $30.
I think their back issues are always a little pricey but just sharing the info.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Batman 40 I expect to see some heat for a few months.
Descender may be adapted for a movie, which probably explains that.
I think the Secret Wars Action Figure variants will probably attract a decent number of collectors, but it's going to be a fad that gets blown out of proportion, I think. For any G.I. Joe fans, there's a Snake Eyes Action Figure variant here: http://thehallofcomics.com/products/gi- ... ed-edition" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

New Mutants 1 is bananas. I gave these away. Now they are about $40. Crazy.

Ya, insane. This book has to be super common, you see it in most copper collections.nycjadie wrote:Movie, apparently. I don't understand the books from the 90s that have so many copies available selling for so much.

Speculators selling to other speculators who are hoping to flip the book I guess.lorddunlow wrote:I don't understand the books from the 90s that have so many copies available selling for so much.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
Yup, speculators are silly. That book is not really a key and was heavily hoarded when it was first released. If you still have any, I would get rid of them ASAP while you can still get something for them. I would lump this book with Sleepwalker #1, X-Force #2, etc. Once the hype fades, this book will go back in the dollar bins.GGSAE wrote:Ya, insane. Justice League 40 combo pack. Shorted book, impossible to find. I think has big upside with the Darkseid war. Find this book now!

Also Divinity 1 4th print. Stores have been shorted (this was reported by Bleeding Cool) and some are not getting any. I suspect this is a very very short print. Watch this now or suffer later trying to complete sets.

The Wicked & The Divine (Image) - TV series in the works
Lumberjanes (Boom) - movie in the works
These were both announced in the last few days. Will probably both see some interest being driven up.

Boba consistently around $60. I have a few decent 9.8 candidates that are getting slabbed.superman-prime wrote:star wars 1 action figure variant

So the sell out on the post new 52 are Green Lantern and green arrow. Not low ordered but selling really well. And very few stores have any later printings of Valiant books. They say they are ordering but people are buying them, that's nice to hear!

Sweet! I've got a CGC 9.6 on that book - it cost me a pretty penny. There's another 9.8 on eBay right now too. The seller had it at $1300 for a while, but it sat and now it's around $900 IIRC. Another hot Quasar book is Hulk #234. A 9.8 on that one sells pretty well too!lorddunlow wrote:IMJkjjohanson wrote:Someone around these parts was a Quasar fan, correct?

Are you still looking for a 9.8 of the '90s series?IMJ wrote:Sweet! I've got a CGC 9.6 on that book - it cost me a pretty penny. There's another 9.8 on eBay right now too.
