New Wizard issue #157
Did anybody pick up this issue?
Just wonder whether they added more Valiant titles to the price guide and if anything went up under Harbinger and Magnus Robot Fighter.

Thanks dude.KO2003 wrote:dino wrote:What are the prices for Magnus 12, 64 and Harby pink?
I appreciate it.
#12- $18; #64- $8; pink- $70
Looks like they were watching the Harbinger Pink auctions a couple of months ago. The 1st Turok is interestingly low because they used to hype the hell out of that book are were responsible for most of the reasons it went over $100 in the 90s. I guess they are using ebay prices for that now. And they seem to have caught onto the last issue buzz thats picking up steam again.

Wizard 157 pg124 Retailer Buzz
Valiant. Block it out all you want, but 90's nostalgia has given Valiant back issues a shot in the arm. Nick Felts of Johnson City, Tenn.'s Funny pages wished he had brought more Valiant stock to the show. "We've had a lot of people asking for Valiant books over our last three shows," he remarked.
For those that don't read the Overstreet Comic Price Review he is a couple of notes.
Thanks to our advisors!
One of the folks doing a lot of research is Greg Holland of Valiantcomics.com. Greg, who met with our Executive Editor J.C. Vaughn and Managing Editor Tom Gordon 3rd and a large group of other at the CGC dinner at Wizard World Chicago, has made short work of understanding and utilizing the information packed into the CGC Cencus. He has been a regular contributer to Overstreet's Comic Price Review and his efforts go well beyond his own personal interest in the burgeoning market for high grade early Valiant comics.
Also mentioned, on page one no less, is the Ebay sale of the a Harbinger 1 9.8 at $969.60. This was the one sold by another board member. FYI, mine sold @1200.00.

Holy crud. Can I ask how it was sold? Private deal? And to whom, if you are at liberty to say. I'd be interested just to know if it was outside of the normal circle of buyers/sellers.x-omatic wrote:Wizard 157 pg124 Retailer Buzz
