First, and most importantly, the seller didn't list a condition of the comic. When you emlarge the scan you can see a couple creases along the spine. It looks like a VF copy at best. Second, the auction ended a bit after midnight Tuesday morning. Third, the seller rating is only 22.

Yeah, if that person would have just been a little patient, he could have found one in much better condition for less.
At the moment there are 3 copies listed with BINs, the cheapest of which is 27.13.
It will be interesting to see if those sell.

Here's a list of the Solar 60s that have sold on eBay over the last couple weeks, in order of the sales.

VFNM 19.99
NM 17.99
NM 25.12
Ungraded- scan appeared VF at best 26.00
VF/VF+ 20.00

As shown, the last 3 copies average 23.70 per, especially impressive since the last 2 listings averaged only slightly above VF. If those copies were pro-rated up to NM copies about 20% should be added to the sales prices. The very fact 5 copies have sold on eBay in the last couple weeks seems to add to the momentum of this book.
Two copies are live on eBay at the moment, both listed with BINs and as NM. One is at 27.13, by the seller who just moved a copy at 25.12, the other is at 29.95. Fear not, as your intrepid reporter on this book continues to watch these listings.

I think the condition of the rare, and especially the Uber rare Valiant and Acclaim books does not matter as much as it does for other books.

As long as it is not all-trashed out, it's all good.

I agree, especially with the later Acclaim books. It's very hard to find them in NM.

I'm doing a bit more extensive Valiant pricing research here, at The Davis Report.
