It is, but my question is why is #1 not worth as much as #2, my guess is a print run thing.400yrs wrote:The description is weird. Is this the Coheed and Cambria comic? That's why I just stick with buying a bunch of books that I like. That way, if I end up with a bunch of worthless copies, I still like them.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking that Coheed and Cambria didn't have anything to do with the first issue.Brother J wrote:It is, but my question is why is #1 not worth as much as #2, my guess is a print run thing.400yrs wrote:The description is weird. Just saw that a TWD Vol 1 Omnibus went for $460 best offer. There also is a live auction going right now with over a day left that has an auction price of $355. Getting pretty hot.caxiotis wrote:I did not put it up. I am still thinking about it. Like you said I am sure I would regret selling it and want it back. I keep looking at completed listings on ebay and they are going for $300ish, and for that price I would rather keep it.400yrs wrote:Did you put it up?caxiotis wrote:I just saw a guy with a buy it now for $1,000400yrs wrote:The Walking Dead is smoking hot moreso than ever. #1 raw is selling between $300 to damn near $500.
The first Omnibus is selling for $300 again.. The last few completely listing went for a little over $300. I might have to put mine out there tonight and see what it gets.
I'd be afraid I'd regret selling it. I only regret one book I've sold. It's not the Bloodshot Platinum. It's not the copies of fan projects that I passed on for less than I paid. It's not the 9 copies of Chew 1 that I sold for between $3 and $60 when they are now selling higher.
The only book I regret selling is my slabbed 9.8 copy of TWD #1 black label. I sold it years ago for $300 when the raw copies were selling for $80. The $300 was waaaaay above what any other copies had done at the time. I paid $50 for it already slabbed.
I took the cash and bought a raw copy white label for $80 and pocketed over $100. At the time, I was happy. Now, I wish I had that book back. Not because it would sell for nearly 1K, but because it's so damn hard to find.
This omni would be the same situation for me. I doubt it will ever dip below $200 and I know I'd want it again in the future. I don't know what the print is on it, but I know it's pretty dang small.
There are alot of the second omni out there. The people who bought that one will probably buy the third which is coming out later this year. Guess which one is the smallest print run? #1. Those people will continue fighting over copies to get their omni sets together.
Also, there are no second printings of TWD Omnibus's. There were just 150 signed and I want to say 1000 to 1500 printed of the first one. I can't be sure about that number, but I think I read that somewhere. I know there were 300 signed of the second omnibus and I pretty sure 3000 printed.

From what I can tell from reading this (it's a pretty poorly written article), the whole series is about Coheed and Cambria, and the book is written by their frontman. I know nothing personally about the book or the group.
I guess the only reason I'm wondering about the disparity in price between #1 and #2 is because I have a copy of #1 and I wish it was worth as much as #2.

Skullkickers #1 (which comes out this Wed) is sold out at Diamond a week before release.
2 copies have moved on ebay for $8 before the damn book is even out. There are 2 sellers trying to sell copies for $20.
I plan to try and track down a copy and read it. The previews really didn't do anything at all for me.
