Top post updated, we will continue to sell prints for little while longer as JayJay reached out on FB-

Happy Holidays! Mr. Sunkist is still with us. He is declining but we cuddle him and keep him warm. His brain tumor has been growing at an alarming rate and he gets chilled, but we got a nice warm baby blanket for him and that helps. Unfortunately, the costs keep spiraling and I'm getting behind in work caring for him. But since these are the last things we'll be able to do for him, we take the time. I'm going to have to raise some money for his final expenses, as well, so I'll be selling some of my artwork. I have some painted color pages from Valiant, Milestone, Defiant and Broadway Comics. I'll be posting notices on the Valiant forum, Milestone page and on my Facebook page and Twitter. Thank you so much! Our poor little guy is struggling, but we have been spending all of our time trying to make him comfortable and keep him warm.

One nice thing happened this week. Mr. Sunkist got his bandage off after 2 months of healing. His brain tumor is bad, but he still is eating (with encouragement) and he still knows and is comforted when we hold him, pet him and brush him so we just can't bring ourselves to let him go yet. He was visibly relieved to have the hateful bandage off his leg and has been sleeping much easier. It must have really bothered him. He's been stretching the leg and spreading out his toes constantly! Here's a photo of him cuddled up in his bed with a soft scarf to keep him warm and snuggly and sticking out the freed foot. His eye looks a bit weird from the tumor that is affecting it, but he's still my beautiful boy.

I want to thank everyone so much for their help. We couldn't have managed to take care of our little guy if it weren't for you.

I haven't been posting much about Mr. Sunkist lately. He's been declining and it was sad. Sunday night before last he took a turn for the worse and yesterday we had a mobile vet come over and put him to sleep as we held him and petted him. Our little buddy's struggle is ended. We miss him so much.

One thing... his leg healed completely from the surgery and didn't even leave a visible scar.
