XO 6 Zircher variant

In my DCBS shipment, I had 1 each of the Zircher and CD, just like I ordered.

I meant to DCBservice. I've yet to *SQUEE* at them.

I used them once, got a beat up QR, *SQUEE*, and a couple months later was sent a very nice replacement copy.
The squeaky wheel and all that...

Sure this has already been noted but noticed the Zircher covers are a thicker stock than the reg. covers. Don't have a CD copy to compare.

XO 6 CD covers are the same cover stock as the Harbinger and Bloodshot CD covers.

That's good to know. I'd hate to think that they might be reprinting on a different stock and creating yet another variant.

Any news on whether any additional CD covers have come out? I actually wanted to get these variants since they are essentially cover price. I have the other 3 CD covers so was hoping to get X-O as well, but I am not really willing to pay above cover price.

That's my position on variants. That is, unless they start offering multiple variants at cover price. Then I'll cut down to one copy of each issue.

My shop still had a stack of Zirchers, and received one CD cover this week (he was holding it for someone and it had a $40 tag).

One of the small shops here ordered 4 copies of xo and 2 were zirchers. No cds.

I dropped by Midtown Comics on my way home from work today. Last time I was there they had no copies of #6 at all except for the Zircher. Today they had a stack of #6, more than half of them CDs at cover price. They haven't updated their website yet but I expect it'll pop up there soon if you're still looking for one.

I think it's dishonest these retailers are still selling these as if they were distributed in 1:50 batches. And it's a bit ridiculous to think they can demand a premium given how common the damn things are!

Midtown had a bunch of the XO 6 character design covers on the shelf today for cover price (too bad they all had a mid-spine bend that basically takes them all out of uber high grade territory), but I bought one anyway. The Zirchers are behind the counter still with $50 (or was it $60) price tag.
