Got your PM. Thanks.justin wrote:Sorry I have been away, I will PM everyone tonight that has been waiting to get squared away. It doesn't matter why I have been out, but I have. Everyone will get compensated, I am not going out like that.

But please, follow through with it. And don't forget the other guys.
I have been PM'ing people today. If you don't get one from me today, please chill, I will get you one tomorrow. I wasn't afforded the luxury last night of being around a computer.jedimarley wrote:Got your PM. Thanks.

Justin-
I'm still more than willing to help out in any reasonable way or lend an ear, should you ever want to share your burden. I have no ill will or bad feelings towards you, even if you owed me a package, which, of course, you don't.
I am sorry to see such depressing things and failed promises happen, and I'm equally sorry to see it negatively affect your many good relationships on this board. I've always thought of you as a very smart person with some amazing ideas. It has always been a pleasure to speak with you. I truly hope you'll still consider me a friend, and we can resume your Valiant plans and our friendship after this cloud passes. Your friend---Steve VK

We do have a track record for being helpful when someone's truly in need. I know this, the flat project wouldn't have been accomplished without Justin contributing his time and assistance.jedimarley wrote:That's fine. I believe he has been instrumental on quite a few projects.hulk181man wrote:We do have a track record for being helpful when someone's truly in need. i wasn't going to say anything but i never got a PM from him either.
i wanted him to take care of you guys first before i started adding more fuel to the fire.
but with the magnus/nexus details we've just learned and the lack of any apparent movement towards a resolution i figured it can't get any worse.
we'll wait and see i guess...i can't believe i'm not more *SQUEE* off about this.

Probably because you are so remove from the actual time of the event and know that there are others in the same situationcinlach@aol.com wrote:i wasn't going to say anything but i never got a PM from him either.

Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

maybe so...i guess i have just resigned myself to not getting either my comics back or getting compensated for them.
i'm a worse-case scenario kinda guy...so i've been ready emotionally for this for quite awhile.
i still hope and want things to turn out ok but it's looking more and more unlikely with every passing day.

Hmmm.....anyone remember, the last coupla times I brought up the Petrilak Experience on tbe boards, that there were people on this board who told me to "get over it", and "let it go, it ain't gonna happen" and "the poor guy's been through so much, cut him some slack"....?
I'm way too lazy to look it up, but you all remember I think.....
Did you know, I've gotten e-mails from Petrilak as recently as March 4, 2006, stating:
"I haven't stopped working on it, just didn't want you to think I was stringing you along. Hopefully, more stuff will come soon.
Joe"
Now. Really.
I mean REALLY.
Does ANYONE think I did ANYTHING but LAUGH TILL MY SIDES ACHED at the GARGANTUAN ABSURDITY of that statement?
December 30, 1999.
My only regret is that I didn't pursue legal action at the time. I would advise many of you, if it's something you just can't "let go", to not make the same mistake I did.
I wonder where those people who told me to "get over it" are now, and why they're so silent......?
(Dayum, I'm in SOB mode tonight.
