$15? Wow! I sure hope you don't sell them, cause that's a GREAT price!!

This emoticon brought to you for absolutely NO reason whatsoever, except to have the last post "in." At least, until someone else posts here. Then THEY will have "the last post." Until (cycle continues)............

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Not sure if this should go here or in the Hall of Shame. If it turns out to be legit, the price isn't terrible. However, it looks for all the world like a highjacked account. The ID's been inactive for over a year, all five feedbacks are as a buyer, never a seller. No Paypal accepted, only personal and certified check accepted. But, if you're going to hijack an account, would you do it with these marginal dollar value books? On the other hand, do you really go from never selling to turbo listing 200 plus items in one shot?
Any opinions?
My saving grace will be to slow pay this guy and see how quickly the account turns bad. I sure won't be rushing a money order out tomorrow morning...

uh, should the fact that the seller mentioned the book had a cardstock cover when the newsstand variant does NOT have a cardstock cover be another warning sign? Unless it was an honest mistake, it might lead me to believe that he doesn't actually own the book.mrwoogieman wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Plus, I noticed that all of his auctions have different sized scans, some of them say lonestar comics my comic shop.com on a watermark. What's that all about?Brother J wrote:uh, should the fact that the seller mentioned the book had a cardstock cover when the newsstand variant does NOT have a cardstock cover be another warning sign? My sentiments exactly. I figure he has a regular $2.95 cover book with the cardstock cover. He appears to be 'borrowing' scans from elsewhere. I'm guessing this is a not-so-accidental accident & you'll get a $2.95 cover VvsVU 1. I would e-mail to clarify before sending money. Just my thoughts... ~Pete

There's no more champion of last word getting on this board than I.
That's why they call me The Hammer.
