Wow. Good find!
Where?

I see a set sold for $77.

I guess, I should adjusted and said $150 and up, but still much higher than even before the movie was released.

Any idea what would have caused the prices to jump in July?
The prices fall as I look at August and September in your list... all the way down to the $77 in October that I mentioned.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time... just wondering what's up?
I have a CGC 9.8 30 Days 1st Series #1, so I'm "interested" in this title. :D

I have no idea either, the only thing I could think of is that the $200+ sets may have been listed when no other sets were available online, which could be the case. The book had to have had a low print run and is to me, one of the "classic" books from the 2000s.

I've picked up a copy but don't have high hopes to be honest. All of Nick Spencer's titles seem to be 'HOT' books to begin with, but the quality never seems to stay there and they fizzle out.

Midtown Comics had these on the shelf at $12 a pop (Batman and Batgirl); usually with current "hot" books (e.g. Captain American #25, when it came out, Earth 2 #2) they sell them at cover price but limit quantities. They didn't even have Catwoman. I assumed that it hadn't come out yet.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

As someone who only got back into comics earlier with the relaunch of Valiant, I read all (okay, most) of the 80-something pages to this thread to catch up on things. Interesting to see what's been hot, remained hot and cooled off in the last 3 years of this thread's existence. I put some books on a text file so I can keep an eye out for them. I'm seriously hoping my comic shop organizes their back issues when they move locations - they're a freakin' mess right now. Hoping to score some finds.

Sadly, I have nothing to contribute to this thread other than that I enjoyed reading it. I've also learned to check out Craigslist to keep out for local deals...although I did see someone locally trying to sell a copy of Generation X #1 for $25.
Black Science. Lazarus. Birthright. Saga. Manifest Destiny. Deadly Class.

Amazing Spider-Man 365 is showing a bit of heat on eBay, in anticipation of Wednesday's Spider-Man 698. Read into that what you will. I gotta put the pieces together myself.

An ebay search for superior spider-man is interesting. Just read it through and look for the clues. I'm not touting anything here. I've not been spoiled on Spider-Man 698.

What about those other 30th Anniversary holo covers ... is there any connection with that crap?

This turned out to be very interesting. A spoiler had been posted on the internet a week or two ago that Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099) became Marvel's regular earth Spider-Man (Earth 616) in ASM 698. I also gather Dan Slott had sent out some sort of Red Herring, I believe via Twitter, that Miguel was going to be the regular Spider-Man. A number of sellers apparently bought in on that stuff, and began alluding to that in their listings, as if it was fact. Rich Johnston from Bleeding Cool had debunked that spoiler/Red Herring, making for a bit of a puzzling prequel to the release of 698. I noticed that some issues of ASM 365 sold under the misguided info in the listings based on that spoiler of Miguel becoming the regular Spider-Man.
