I hear ya on that one. Marvel needs to remind themselves that they can not get lax on major characters especially nowadays when its rare for them to introduce a new major character that is well received. Unless something changes over in the House of Ideas, Wolverine may just turn into another title that lives off of reputation and name only which would be a pity for such a legendary character.

If you have not read Silver Surfer #3, don't read any further due to spoilers.
I liked this issue alot. Apparently the Silver Surfer is getting repowered by Galactus and is now his new herald, again. The annihilation wave show up at the end and are getting ready to battle the Silver Surfer and Galactus. Our hero is getting repowered by Galactus more for fighting the two new characters who were imprisoned in the klyn by Galactus from a war between those in charge of universal consance. According the big G, only 3 survived the war in which he was one of the survivors.
I think its time I invest in a FF4 #48.

PP outing himself as SM is just poop. Marvel should just go ahead and cancel everything but their damn Ulticrap line and quit screwing around with OUR characters. That's right, I said "our characters."

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I felt the same way when I saw the Ultimate Venom and Galactus. I have now forbidden myself to buy that crap ever again.slym2none wrote:PP outing himself as SM is just poop. Well, here's so much for continuity. Silver Surfer starred in his own series AND made a very important guest appearance in Incredible Hulk during the Planet Hulk storyline.Kino wrote:If you have not read Silver Surfer #3, don't read any further due to spoilers.

NO one has mentioned what Marvel came out and said this week that Civil War and certain Tie-in's will be seriously delayed....
Civil War #4 now comes out Sept 20...
Civil War #5 late November
Civil War #6 mid January...
Will these delays effect you buying it.....rumors are swirling that Marvel is changing the story
Hence the real reasons for the late books.

Where did you hear this rumor about changing the story?
Honestly, if they are, I hope it's because the backlash they've received for making Iron Man appear to be such a total and complete @$$hole in the eye's of the readership (this isn't so much my opinion as it is what I've read.... I think a large portion of this story was misunderstood by much of the comic book readership AND Marvel hasn't played the field as evenly as they claimed).

im enjoying civil war but im really loving annihilation.
its about time that marvel had a major epic space war between the universe and the negative zone.
i cant wait to see how this concludes considering how many major power players are involved.
i also like that there are no ongoing titles at present so that basically anything can happen.

Can anyone tell me why, in the battle where the Cap's side is trying to free their people from a convoy going through Yancey Street (shown in both FF and Amazing Spiderman), heroes who are on the same side (Cap's I think) are shown fighting each other in the splash page were The Thing picks up one of the armored vehicles? The blurb on the page says to read FF but that isn't shown there (it just explains why Thing is picking up the vehicle). I thought it might be the Puppet Master controlling them but the FF issue just said that he's just controlling the humans in the area. Did they make a mistake in Amazing Spiderman or is the in-fighting explained in some third comic?

Here's the story on the delay....
http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=80636
This has happened a few times with DC's x-over miniseries were the artist gets overwhelmed and it gets delayed. I don't recall DC ever delaying any tie-ins because of that though. It's kind of a refreshing change to see Marvel take the story seriously enough to want it to come in out in the correct order and not spoil things for the readers. But it sucks for retailers who got seriously screwed by this.

Well after reading Cable and Deadpool #31 I am stoked to see Civil War #4. Looks like Thor is about to upset the balance along with adding a fatality.
I hear in CW#5 the Punisher joins in the fight. I guess Marvel is looking to have a few characters knocked off by the Punisher.
I wonder if there is any Marvel (earth) character that has more kills than the Punisher?
