At least 50% of what I win on ebay falls into this category. There are some really good sellers, particularly from these boards, that do a great job of appreciating the books after they are sold and ship them accordingly.

Then you have the ones that don't care or lack common sense.

I've told sellers I will pay extra to secure my purchase. Then after no response to my offer, I receive a bent up book protected by one flimsy piece of cardboard and a response to my anger of, "I'm sorry, I always ship comics that way and have never had a problem, look at my feedback". Total dishonesty and thievery. All to skim an extra dollar or two from shipping charges, IMO.

If I had a dollar...no, a QUARTER....no, A PENNY for every time I heard the words "You're the first person that's ever had a problem" or a variation thereof...I'd be richer than Oprah. Maybe not Bill Gates, but definitely Oprah.

Well, I'm definitely in your corner. It's a mind crime that someone would try to convince you shipping is not their problem. You hear it enough, you start to question your own idea of right and wrong.

Well, I'm definitely in your corner. It's a mind crime that someone would try to convince you shipping is not their problem. You hear it enough, you start to question your own idea of right and wrong.

Yeah, it's pretty beyond ridiculous, and the *SQUEE* who try to suggest that it's the "eBay risk" and that it's YOUR fault that stuff is overgraded and mangled in shipping are the same types of asseclowns who suggest that it's a woman's fault she gets raped.

Not willing to take responsibility for their actions, basically.

The answer is simple: if you sell a book in a specific grade, it should arrive in that specific grade. Period.

It's like "look, just don't LIE to me, just tell me what it is you have, and I can decide if I want it. I MAY be interested in what you have, at whatever grade it's in, IF you just don't LIE to me! And, then make SURE it ARRIVES to me in the condition promised!"

No excuses. You be a man and you do right by your customers....or you don't sell. It's beyond simple.

It boggles the mind....just boggles....that anyone would think that concept is controversial.
