That's a very strong point. Maybe Geoff just wanted to get back on track, but it does sound as if he's agreeing with Kris' statement.Todd Luck wrote:Plus, in Unity, Kris interupts Geoff after he says he's got to tell her something about the baby and says she already knows Torque's the farther. His reaction is "Besides that."

Yep, I'll agree Todd (and Magnus), that's a strong point.magnusr wrote:That's a very strong point. Of course...

But seriously, I'm not convinced Pete was "supposed to be" the father.
I just thought it was worth discussing... A "what if", or "what might have been".

Tongue-in-cheek, but also a very good point. If we are to think that Kris could be mistaken, then why not consider that Geoff could use wording that serves the Earth the best. I didn't think that of that.greg wrote:Of course... I'm sure Geoff knew there's no way Kris would have given up Pete's baby.
It's a fascinating discussion as it shows the balance between what the writers explains to us and what we are supposed to see by ourselves. Like in the real world there is a lot that can't be taken for granted.
Also it might possibly be a part of VALIANT history. It's always fascinating to consider how our favorite stories were created.
What might have been, we sure have avoided so far.But seriously, I'm not convinced Pete was "supposed to be" the father.

We know precious little about how Harbinger traits are inherited and "popped", so everything's open for stories about possible kids of Magnus.
Btw, lingering on what might have been supposed, we still can't exclude that an early draft had Pete as the father.

Twice Magnus found himself traveling to the past, first in Chaos Effect and then at the end of his series.
What if during one of those travels he were to discover more about his origin and maybe the revelation that Pete is in fact his father?
What if the two of them met during Magnus' second trip and Pete were to pop him, then when Magnus went back to the future he'd be an Omega Harbinger?

Hmm... I don't think I like the thought of Magnus becoming and Omega Harbinger. Smashing robots is what he does best.ManofTheAtom wrote:Twice Magnus found himself traveling to the past, first in Chaos Effect and then at the end of his series.
