Chris, YES it was just wishful thinking. Usually big announcements happening at these things, if I am not mistaken, and I'm pretty sure a few wet dreams would come through if that happened.k_c_collectibles wrote:Do you know something that we don't or is that just wishful thinking? I would be all for that as long as Bob Layton was back on X-O with at least some creative control as his version of X-O is my favorite.Thomas Crown wrote: Do the new owners of VALIANT come buy and tell use Shooter is the new Editor-N-Chief?![]()
Maybe Big Jim would even be able to talk BWS into working for the company again...![]()
I would be all for that for sure!![]()

I plan to be at the National this weekend on Saturday only. I will be helping out at the HERO Initiative booth (ACTOR has been renamed) in the afternoon. Stop by and say hello!
Also, my friend Paul will have a booth set up for his Toon Tumblers, these glasses are awesome!
Dinner after the show as well, details to be worked out still...

Yes, there is only one Toon Tumbers!! I got the whole X-Men set yesterday - twelve glasses! I think I'll use the Dark Phoenix one for when I do some drinking...
It was a typical Big Apple Con yesterday. Not much quality valiant in the room. It was nice seeing John (svair) and Mark (wrunow) again, and meeting Chainball (Brian).

It was nice to see you again Bill! As usual, John was a great Show host, thanks again.mrwoogieman wrote:Yes, there is only one Toon Tumbers!! I got the whole X-Men set yesterday - twelve glasses! I think I'll use the Dark Phoenix one for when I do some drinking...![]()

I only spent a few hours at the show Saturday and it was a pleasure to grab a slice of pie with Brian (Chainball), John, Mike McGuire (VALIANT colorist and all around great guy) and his buddy Bill. There wasn't a lot of VALIANT there as usual, and no big surprises like John found with the Harby's at the last show. My dream would have been to find 50 Solar 10's or so, but it wasn't to be.
I got to chat with Sean Chen for a few minutes and he gave me my painted Solar statue and signed and #'d the bottom of it. I think everyone who ordered one is gonna be real happy. Thanks again Sean.
I plan on heading down to the Javitz show in February, I will be spending a lot more time at that show, I hope more of you guys can make it.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Dates would be nice if confirmed... and I believe the hotel was known as The Penn, although it's full name is New York's Hotel Pennsylvania. Here's the site - http://www.hotelpenn.com/Zero wrote:Bump!!
Do we have dates for the November Con yet??
Also, what's the name of the hotel above the convention? An address would be nice too if anyone has it.
Thanks,
~Pete
