Zoom out so you can see the expressway. You'll need to decide if you want to get off of I-96 at Beck road, which is to the west, or Novi Rd, which is to the east. Either way will work.
There is a nice Coney we could eat at near at the Beck rd intersection? What do we all prefer. I'll eat just about anything.

I will be the asian guy with the glazed over eyes as i find that umptenth copy of *SQUEE* tribe #1 in hopes that it will be a solar 10.
Also I apolgize in advance if im crowding you in the quarter bin area, i usually dont give a *SQUEE*.
But i do bathe daily so if its an unpleasant odor, nomfop.

Well it was a good first day for me
I met xodacia81 for some breakfast and then we hit the show.
There were some good finds there. I saw plenty of VALIANT commons and a few PreUnities. There was one vendor who had some very nice PreUnity issues BUT he was asking a little too much for them...
I found another vendor who had 4 long boxes set out with VALIANT written on the front.. I dove into those as I stuck up a conversation with the vendor. After searching for a bit he asked me if I wanted to see the earlier books.. of course I said 'yes'. I picked up about 15 nice preU books for about $100.. which I think was a little much.. but oh well.
My best buys were a
X-O #1 for $1
Rai9 VVSS $6
Unity Gold $6
Rai 2-5 $6 each...
I was so bummer not to see some Shadowman V3 anywhere! Nor did I see any Q&W.. Im a bit curious about this series
Fun, fun!

It was good meeting IA and the show was fun. BUT, lol. Didn't find much of what I was hunting for in terms of books. There was zero Q&W. I did find a Predator v. Magnus # 1 platinum, Rai tpb Blue, Unity 1 platinum, an XO v2 # 12 & the last 5 issues of the second Shadowman series. I also snagged a set of Valiant Era cards as well.
Oh yes, and last but not least...The Good Guys # 1, XO 7 & 65 for the grand total of a dollar. I couln't find either of the Ghost v2 that I need or the 3 issues of Fatale that are left. The guests were all very cool. Got to talk to E.Estrada for a moment when I managed to get an autograph from him as a belated birthday gift for my mother. (one of her fave shows is C.H.I.P.S)
I got to meet Dan Davis, Al Feldstein, Bernie Wrightson and Gregory Itzin, all of whom were personable. I don't think the show was as busy as last year and there certainly were not as many booths or stalls. But, it was good. Had a great time. There ARE books of a VALIANT order at this con, so whoever makes it will find some. There are two places which pretty much have 3 or 4 boxes with nothing BUT Valiant, including a guy that has 2 boxes of almost exclusively pre-Unity materials. Good show and day, but slightly a downer in terms of finds for my list. Oh well. There is always next year

There's actually a Valiant connection, this year, with Bernard Chang on the guest list.
