I really like the new coloring, but in some panels (due to how the process was done) it seems like the coloring has over taken the pencils as they now look faded.
Unfortunately, the degradation of the black line is a result of removing the existing colors for the digital recoloring process.
Yeah, I imagined as much.

Thanks for the answer :thumb:

It is a gorgeous book. I really liked what the new story implies, as, like Harbinger 0, it makes you rethink what you thought you knew. The presentation is astounding and well worth the 24 odd dollars you'll pay for it. A gem in my collection-and I have two. One to read and one to keep pristine.

Yes, Flamingo's black eye was much more apparent in the reprint.

I enjoy the fact (as everyone else does) that this version collects more issues.

I thought this was a top notch book. Very well done and I really like the recoloring job for the most part. Well worth the price tag.

Are you Jim Shooter now? :P

Just kidding, actually that might be a good question, did Jim have free reign to use any Harbinger-related character or was it decided by VEI that it was going to be a Harada story?

(sorry if I missed the answer for this somewhere else...)

We asked him to expand on his Story of Harada coupons. It developed from there.

IF you ever get to Harbinger #26-whatever....and I'm not saying you will, or you should, or would ever want to under ANY circumstances.....but IF you do....

I have an 8 page Zephyr solo story I'd like to have included.

I'd like to see Zephyr in a "coming of age" story, where she has her first...uh, relationship with a guy. We'll see how hot she is then!

Harbinger: The Beginning is one of those rare collections now of days
a hardcover that is actually worth more than it's $25 price tag. Seeing how
some companies would charge a lot more for a lot less content this is not
only a great story but it's a value.
