That works for me... I just assumed that the X-O (#0) lithograph and the Ninjak lithographckb wrote:Which thing are we talking about? As far as I know the Bradach Fine Art pieces were only available directly from Bradach. They advertised them in CBG. I would be surprised if there was a Diamond listing.greg wrote:Probably in the "non-comic" section of Previews.
would have been for sale more widely (since they were created at the top of Valiant popularity),
but I'll trust those who remember better than my own speculation.

Sad but true; I bought the Manowar Litho Plat #1 of 100 from Hillman, the priority tube he sent it in got bent right on the middle. I really didnt want go through the claims but had no choice. Long story short, I got refunded 25% of what I paid and they lost the Litho. They said it might had been auction off in their Georgia facility or just trashed. I never really cared for the $$ loss, but losing #1 is hard.

I'm pretty sure that isn't a lithograph. Looks like a block print to me, which in my mind, makes it even more impressive..mrwoogieman wrote:Don't forget Dawg's Bloodshot litho.
I always find the term "lithograph" interesting.
Newspapers are lithographs. Magazines are lithographs. Books are lithographs. Pretty much every printed thing you have ever had is a lithograph, unless it came out of a computer printer.
The term "lithograph" just isn't used for every day stuff printed with lithography. People reserve the term for "special" stuff.
I'm not down on these prints or anything, but having spent a large portion of two years of my life in a lithography studio, I like people to know what it is.

Yea, I would like to get a platinum version one day. It's hard to believe these are 16 years old now.robb77 wrote:sorry to heremagnusr wrote:That's horrible.dbest4u wrote:Sad but true; I bought the Manowar Litho Plat #1 of 100 from Hillman, the priority tube he sent it in got bent right on the middle. Lithography is a printing method where a plate is chemically treated to accept ink in certain areas, and repel ink in other. The plate is rolled with ink, then the ink is transferred to the paper in a press.ian_house wrote:I also don't understand what classifies as a lithograph.
It was invented in 1796 by Elois Senefelder as a means to reproduce opera librettos. Originally, the prints were made on flat blocks of Bavarian limestone, instead of metal plates.
Today, nearly everything that is printed with ink is printed using lithography. Newspapers, magazines, cereal boxes, posters, etc.
When an artist releases a "lithograph", a more accurate description is "fancy poster".
Show me a hand drawn and printed lithograph, and I'll start to get interested in something because it is a "lithograph".

I was just a bit surprised at the price. My two are just stuck up with some blu tacDaniel Jackson wrote:Don't have any idea what they are worth, but both are nice pieces.

They are quite cool, an usual style. The background in the penguin one is really bright and eye catching whilst the catwoman one draws your eye to lots of minor details like her costume or the street lamp above Batman.
Well worth the £1!
