There's just a big gap for condition on a book like this. This one had what I felt were serious issues. If you are going to get one of these, there is going to be a tendency to hold out for a super copy. That being said, I think even one that is in worse shape will sell for about the same amount due to competition among budge minded buyers.

The PVM trade is in a similar position.

IMHO.
