Nope.
Is Bad Eggs a VALIANT comic?
Nope.
Don't confuse publisher with universe.
Q&W is not a VALIANT comic.
Quantum & Woody has that label & the others don't. Quantum & Woody was part of Acclaim's Valiant line. Very poor comparison. Try again Mike...

As an afterthought... and what's in a name?Chiclo wrote:Looks aside, they bore the Valiant name.ManofTheAtom wrote:Really?Chiclo wrote:Quantum and Woody are without a doubt parts of VH2 and VH3.
Those are both iterations of Valiant for better or worse.
They looked more like iterations of DC and Marvel
For better or worse.
A VH 2 comic by any other name would reek just as badly.

No one has ever accused them of being a music channel.Chiclo wrote:Yes, but that's not the claim in contest.
The question is "is the label Valiant?".
Unequivocally, yes.
Quantum and Woody are not VH1.
And the label is meaningless, the concept is not a VALIANT concept, which means that it's not VALIANT, just like Bad Eggs was not VALIANT or City Hunters was not VALIANT or Magic the Gathering was not VALIANT.

Not really, no.Chiclo wrote:Bad Eggs and City Hunters were released under the Acclaim comics banner.
Magic the Gathering was under Armada.
The name Valiant doesn't appear on their covers.
Quantum and Woody have "Valiant" written out on their covers. They are Valiant Heroes.
They may have been called that, but they're not VALIANT.

This has nothing to do with Shooter's vision, I'm talking about the nature and core of the VALIANT Universe.Chiclo wrote:I'd say they fit better in VH2 than Turok did in VH1. Turok was forced in with a shoehorn.
So maybe they weren't part of Shooter's vision. Neither were the Starwatchers. Neither was Clay McHenry. Hell, Shooter had it written to where Geoff would die and Andar would be the next Geomancer.
Q&W is not a series with tight continuity, permanent death, real science, or the notion that it takes place outside your window.
Q&W is a series which disregards its own continuity, where characters who were presumed dead come back, where the science is extremely comic booky, and where the fourth wall was constantly broken.
That's not a VALIANT comic.

WHAT makes her fly is evolution.Chiclo wrote:So how does she fly?ManofTheAtom wrote:Genetic evolution is a science, and that's how she got her powers.Chiclo wrote:A somewhat cute blonde fat girl that can fly is not real science.
She doesn't even have wings.
HOW evolution makes her fly... is for the writers to explain.
Clever writers can explain the most comic booky of concepts with credible science.
Warren Ellis has made strives to do stuff like that with the Ultimate Fantastic Four.

How did the writers explain her flight? If they are so focused on real world science, dazzle me.
Look at the X-Men. Magneto rides magnetism. Angel has wings. What does Faith have?

How Faith flies was not explained in detail, other than to say that everyone's powers in Harbinger are based on the mind.Chiclo wrote:Evolution picks her up and moves her around according to her own design for a flight path?ManofTheAtom wrote:WHAT makes her fly is evolution.

I'll buy that. It's as believable as any other comic book explanation. Magneto controls magnetism with his mind.ManofTheAtom wrote:How Faith flies was not explained in detail, other than to say that everyone's powers in Harbinger are based on the mind.Chiclo wrote:Evolution picks her up and moves her around according to her own design for a flight path?ManofTheAtom wrote:WHAT makes her fly is evolution.

Makes as much sense as time arcs to me. Just about as much suspension of disbelief.
Time arcs are just as magical.

In the VU, time arcs are considered a natural aspect of nature, like rain or wind, that was the excuse for their existence.
There is nothing magical about them at all, unlike the fold, which is a magic piece of paper.
