Bloodshot is not my favorite Valiant character, but the more I think about it, makes the most sense to be the next VEI hardcover.

The X-O and Harbinger hardcovers were perfect in every way. You got to tell the complete pre-unity storyline and some of those issues are hard for people to get.

People are all talking about Shadowman and Rai as the next harcovers, while I would love these they kind of create problems. With Shadowman you only get three issues (or 4 if you count zero) and then the Unity saga starts, also at least in my experience Shadowman 1 and 2 are easier to find than most pre-unity. With Rai you have the issue of how to do the flip books, and how intertwined his early stories are with Magnus, it is nice that Rai 1-5 are pretty hard to find cheap and you can cut the HC off before Unity especially including Rai 0.

With Bloodshot you wouldn't have any of these problems. The only bad thing about a Bloodshot hardcover is that it would be cheaper than $25 to track down the first ten issues or so including 0. A&A and EW also have the same issue with Unity being in the beginning of the series.
