No it's true, no more bids. Even $9.99 is over-paying
I don't want to be a part of any penguin club that would have slym as a member
I just bought a Shadowman original cover for $350 ... coincidentally, the same price paid for these past 2 penguins that weren't even created during the original valiant years ...
Auction and messageboard hype at it's best!

I'm sorry, sir. Are you quoting my post? Responding to my message? What happened to being a "man" ..... too far out of your reach apparentlyslym2none wrote:Crow331 wrote:I already put in my maximum bid .... $9.99 but I've already been outbid so I'm out![]()

Not sure how paying $350 for a Shadowman cover compares to the forum penguin. It really depends on which cover you bought. Was it pre-Unity, Unity, or at least a key issue? Not sure I would consider paying that much if the art was for a common issue.
Would I pay the current bid price or more for the thing? Maybe, if I was not in grad school. The VH-1 era had no toys making these little guys especially desirable—not to mention the limited run and being hand made by Sean Chen. Add to the fact that having one is sorta like a badge of honor around here, I wouldn’t be surprised if it sells for $400.
Apparently you’re not a toy collector. It’s amazing the price certain toys can sell for.
