Help for Geo:
remohcomics is someone that I have written about on the site before. He sent me a a Batman lot that was from 576-607...and it was missing 3 books.
Ok, no big deal, right? 3 books in that lot was like $1.50, paying 50 cents each total. 31 books, 3 missing.
The guy's reply?
"Oh, sorry about that. Better luck next time."
Not "Oh, sorry about that. Let me get those out to you" or "Oh, sorry about that. Let me give you a pro-rated refund (since none of the books is essentially worth more than the others.)"
No.
It was "Better luck next time."
WTF? What does that mean, "better luck next time"....? Like I'm just supposed to say "oh, oh well, nevermind. My order wasn't complete, but who cares, the seller wished me better luck next time, so all's good, right?"
I had to file a Paypal dispute to get my money back.
Can you believe it?
3 books, and the guy makes me file a PAYPAL DISPUTE to get my money back?
And no, I'm not about to "let it go"...I paid for 31 books, I expect 31 books.
Unfortunately, eBay in all its *SQUEE* wisdom, has removed EVERY negative feedback from EVERY user EVER left (which is ridiculous), so, of course, the negs I left him under a (now NARU'd) account are gone.
You can check toolhaus under "tired_and_poor"
Pathetic.
Please do leave him negative feedback. He is MOST DEFINITELY deserving of it, if, for nothing else, getting out of the negative feedback he ALREADY GOT, but eBay, in it's infinitely *SQUEE* wisdom, has removed.
I would also tell him that there's this new eBay invention called "reserves", and he should learn how to use him.
Then, I would leave as clever a neg as I could come up with that paints him in the worst possible light.
The doosh isn't even clever enough to come up with a decent lie....

I would tell him that yes, in fact, this HAS happened before, he HAS tried to screw customers over, this is NOT a new thing, and he should be DAMN happy that eBay erased negs from NARU'd users.I appologize for any inconvenience, and as you can see, my feedback is 100% positive. Nothing like this has ever happened. .

I'd like to thank everyone for their feedback and support. This is the message I sent the seller this morning:
Dear remohcomics,
Adam,
I have thought about it alot and decided that if you will not sell me the book, I will leave you negative feedback and also report you to EBay as a non-performing seller. I do not want to do this. I simply want the book. I'm sorry you are losing money, but you have been on EBay for 5 years and know that you could have simply placed a reserve on the auction. Hopefully, you will make back the money you lost on other sales. This is the nature of business. It would not be right for you to try to correct YOUR mistake by wronging me. Please respond with your decision and then I will either pay you or report you.
Sorry,
George

Hopefully it will not fall on deaf ears, but this guy seems to be all about the money, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Wow, I'm very surprised that was his response. Usually once someone decides to screw you, they don't change their mind. I hope it works out and you receive the book in a timely manner.geocarr wrote:So the seller responded with this:
I paid with paypal and included insurance. So now I will wait and see what happens. Thanks again to you all!Dear geocarrjr,
As soon as I receive payment I will ship the book. Sorry about any inconvenience. Remoh Comics.

I hope it's the book that was pictured in the auction. That would be just plain *SQUEE* if he swapped out with a lower-grade book.Brother J wrote:Wow, I'm very surprised that was his response. Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Indeed.
Very rare for a seller to do something like this. Glad he stepped up to the plate and did the right thing.

Kudos . . . . that was very well put and it looks like it paid off. Congrats on the fanstastic price as well . . . I haven't been scouring the bay lately but I'm surprised that one slipped by without a higher bid.
Even though I hate when someone else here bids me up, that's the nature of the game and happy to see others luck out time to time.

Very rare that this will happen considering the rarity of this book. It's prob the only one has I'm sure of it. 500 print run...thats rare for him to swap it. I'm glad this worked out for you I hope...slym2none wrote:I hope it's the book that was pictured in the auction.
