Turok and Samson could live outside in the forbidden zones where dinosaurs could rule the wastelands. Inside NorthAm, Magnus and Dr. Solar could live. Add Dr. Spektor and all 5 could inhabit the same universe at the same time.

MARS Patrol has my interest, too, but I know a lot of folks are pulling for Dr. Spektor.
My wife has read more of the Gold Key/Dell stuff outside of Magnus, Solar and Turok than I have. One of her favourites is a character called Brain Boy and I have two issues that both bear the Dell logo.

I have a few Mars Patrol issues and they are run of the mill campy, 60's sci-fi. In other words, the kind of thing she really likes.

I'm interested in a "Jet Dream & Her Stunt-Girl-Counter-Spies" series or mini-series since Shooter mentioned it in the 20 questions interview....

Might be a cool series to see. The characters sound like they would make for a cool "Birds of Prey" style book. :hm:

On Monday I should receive Mighty Samson #32 and Gold Key Champion #2, completing my set of Mighty Samson. Pretty happy about that.

This is on the Diamond list scheduled to ship on Wednesday:

Dynamite invites you to "Meet the Bad Guys!" with this special PROJECT SUPERPOWERS series plotted by Alex Ross, scripted by Joe Casey and illustrated by Dynamite artistic sensation Carlos(The Black Terror) Paul! As the heroes return, the villains rise - this third villainous issue introduces Dagon... an awesome force to be reckoned with for The Mighty Samson!

:?

Same Samson?

This mention was in the Mighty Samson wiki page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mighty_Samson

Project Superpowers, a comic book from Alex Ross and Dynamite Entertainment announced in 2007, reviving many golden-age comic book characters will feature a Samson that is ostensibly the golden age Fox Features Samson, though the visual design seems to have been inspired by the Gold Key character.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

And the Fox Feature Syndicate Samson wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samson_%28 ... _comics%29
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Dynamite character on the cover definitely uses the visual look of the Gold Key version...

While I enjoyed the character in the first Project Superheroes series, it at least seems like Alex was getting his visual cues from the the Gold Key Mighty Samson, doesn't it?

On the other hand, I got my copies of Mighty Samson #32 and Gold Key Champion #2 today, so I've completed my Mighty Samson set until the new material comes out.

Also got my Tales of the Sunrunners issues (completing the Pacific-Eclipse-Sirius-Amazing Comics series... just about a publisher every two issues...) and the versions of Static #1 that I didn't have. Woo-ee!

What are the odds of Dark Horse collecting the Mighty Samson run in Archives before the full launch starts? :?

Wasnt it DC to begin with?

No, it started at Pacific. BUT I entirely forgot about The Sunrunners Christmas Special, so I'm one issue shy of complete.

There was no Sun Runners title by DC.

Are you confusing it with this title?:
