In addition, I'm right.

Re: VALIANT COMICS Announces FREE COMIC BOOK DAY Special
Are we ready to discuss? It looks like spaceships in the background, and they don't look like the traditional spider-alien ships.
Are they a new design for spider-alien ships?
Are they from Earth/human, but sometime in the future?
Are they just chips and chunks of rock that happen to look like stealth fighters?
Other theories?

Hmm...maybe debris from a stealth fighter (or something else) that Aric just hit with his new sword?greg wrote: Are they just chips and chunks of rock that happen to look like stealth fighters?

I definitely am digging the energy sword. What's a barbarian without a sword? Great idea. I think the suit will grow on me when it's not digital. The best digital art for me is that which you can't tell whether it's digital or not.
Greg, I thought them to be chunks of rock that had exploded or something.
It could also be the sword just detroyed something as DJ mentioned. I don't think those are ships, but I could be wrong.
Check out the right wrist of this Manowar ... looks like something could fire out of that black hole, yes?

Like so many said, the sword's great. And it shows that the essence of what X-O was all about, still lives on.
Looking forward to seing more about the other titles mentioned as well.

The design and draftsmanship in the art is exciting and beautiful to behold. Of course, given WHO drew it, what else might one expect?Crow331 wrote:I definitely am digging the energy sword. The main thing that looks like ships to me is the 3 that look to be "coming in for a landing" around the X-O Manowar title and behind the white box below.Crow331 wrote: Greg, I thought them to be chunks of rock that had exploded or something.

The one just below his right wrist also looks like it has short wings like a stealth fighter or the concept drawings of hypersonic planes.
Some of the other ones just look like pieces of rock, though.

I don't think they are ships. They look like shards of rocks or other debris in the air from something that just went boom.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

The sword is pretty bad *SQUEE*. VH1 had a sword, but it was much more dildo-esque.
I wonder why he has one red shoulder blade...

Ok, let's move past the ships/rocks and point out that he is without moustache, and presumably, clean-shaven. Good? Bad?

Re: VALIANT COMICS Announces FREE COMIC BOOK DAY Special
I don't think we can say that he is clean-shaven with any certainty at this point. The helmet could be covering up a soul patch or Shaggy-type chin...thing. Maybe the variant covers will be clean-shaven vs full beard versions.greg wrote:Ok, let's move past the ships/rocks and point out that he is without moustache, and presumably, clean-shaven. Good? Clean shaven ... Hmmmmmm good point ... could it be that he is not a "barbarian" at all? If he is, where did he get the razors??greg wrote:Ok, let's move past the ships/rocks and point out that he is without moustache, and presumably, clean-shaven. Good? Bad?
