What do you mean? The regular cover is the one on the top left... it just isn't very good.BugsySig wrote:The pull box cover is pretty sweet even black and white, scanned and grainy...I guess that means the actual version will be even more awesome.
Love the 1:20 variant and wish that was the regular cover...still kinda wired we haven't seen the regular cover yet.
I wish the 1:20 was the regular cover too. I think it would sell me copies.

I thought that was just an interior page...I know it is posted that way on this thread, but I don't think it has been officially announced as such.etos45 wrote:What do you mean? Well, if you go to Valiant's website under "news" where they have this picture and hover over the it, it is titled "HAR_01_CVR. So I'd say it's more than a safe bet that it is the cover. Not to mention the top part is clear of any voice bubbles to make room for the logo and such.BugsySig wrote:I thought that was just an interior page...I know it is posted that way on this thread, but I don't think it has been officially announced as such.etos45 wrote:What do you mean? Yeah, on second look I noticed it was drawn with space for the logo, title, etc. Not too crazy about that as the main cover. May have to look for that awesome 1:20 to go with that sweet pull-box variant.etos45 wrote:Well, if you go to Valiant's website under "news" where they have this picture and hover over the it, it is titled "HAR_01_CVR. Re: Harbinger #1 covers - all-on-one-page (under constructio
I completely agree. I would go as far as to say that I hate the regular cover and I'm unlikely to buy it. This is one circumstance where having variants is going to work in my favor. So, I will get the pullbox variant and I'm going to try for the 1:20. If my LCS gets it, I believe he said it'd be about $20 and that's not too bad for that cover.BugsySig wrote:Yeah, on second look I noticed it was drawn with space for the logo, title, etc. Not too crazy about that as the main cover. The Braithwaite cover is tremendous, plus it harkens back to the original #1 so I really like it. I think it's my favorite of the bunch. Having the other one look grainy on purpose could have been a good way to go-adds intrigue!

I totally agree with the above comments. I don't really like the regular cover at all. I think it would work great as the first interior page (logos, credit boxes, and such at at the top), but not as a cover.
However, that 1:20 cover is incredible. I wish that were the pullbox cover and the pullbox cover was the regular cover.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I agree 100%. Or just have the 1:20 be the regular cover and keep the pull-box as is. David Aja is doing the Bloodshot and XO variants, so he could do a 1:20 cover for Harbinger you would think...then that leaves the talking 1:50 variant with Harada.Heath wrote:I totally agree with the above comments. I'd be fine with either. As etos45 said, it would probably sell more copies. It really does bring back to mind the awesomeness that was those original issues of Harbinger, but now with extra awesomeness.BugsySig wrote:Or just have the 1:20 be the regular cover and keep the pull-box as is.

One very cool tidbit from our conversation with the Valiant guys about the Harby cover, .....
It was confirmed that Warren DID have the poker reference put in for the poker game dudes at SDCC. Pretty sweet shout out I think.

And a Website!

If I win an argument, it doesn't mean I'm right. It means I'm a better arguer.
In addition, I'm right.

One of the thought bubbles on the cover says, "Freaking damm ace on the river".kevinbastos wrote:For us out of the loop, what is the poker ref?Elveen wrote:One very cool tidbit from our conversation with the Valiant guys about the Harby cover, .....

The Valiant guys (Warren, Dino, Fred) were with us at the Poker game during SDCC, and this weekend it was confirmed by Dino that Warren had that in there as a shout out for us.
Pretty cool.

Now that Dysart is on my radar thanks to OTV, I am really excited about this run, this guy seems perfect! Here's an excerpt from his bio on his website: He currently lives by the beach. He really digs smashing words together for a living. He recommends it over almost all other forms of slavery.
