Re: Image books
Yes I have been reading Jupiter's Legacy as well. It seems ok so far, not blown away by it. Let me know what you think of Think Tank Mero

I forgot about Jupiter's Legacy. So far, I like it. First two issues were just OK, while issue #3 blew me away for sure.Jace wrote:Yes I have been reading Jupiter's Legacy as well. It seems ok so far, nt blown away by it. Let me know what you think of Think Tank Mero
I wouldn't suggest the series until it's finished, though, as you never know how Millar might go with a storyline.

Re: Image books
One smart thing image has done is they put a lot of the first issues of their series for free on Comixology. I would never of tried them otherwise. Even newer stuff. I recently got for free first issues of East of West, Lazarus, and Sex Criminals.
I'm just amazed at the amount of variety of books image has.

Will do jace . Might be a week or so with my backlog.Think I've bought 6 tpbs in last couple weeks on top of my weekly comics.Jace wrote:Yes I have been reading Jupiter's Legacy as well. It seems ok so far, not blown away by it. Let me know what you think of Think Tank Mero

I remember saying to myself, ok I'm only gonna get back into Valiant and that's it ! That lasted maybe a month ....

Me too. I now have more non-Valiant than Valiant (but that's only because there isn't more Valiant).mero19 wrote:

Re: Image books
Exactly. Although at this point I don't want to give up any of my titles. I'm guessing I'll just buy more comics as Valiant continues to add them.lorddunlow wrote:Me too. I now have more non-Valiant than Valiant (but that's only because there isn't more Valiant).mero19 wrote:

Re: Image books
Same here as well. I've actually been avoiding a lot of hot Image titles due to my recent hankering for Marvel due to Infinity. I'm sure if I pick a lot of these awesome books up, then I'll be on the hook for another monthly.Intrepidxc wrote:Exactly. Although at this point I don't want to give up any of my titles. Re: Image books
Image books I currently pick up;
East of West
Invincible
Jupiters Legacy
Lazarus
Revival
Saga
Sex Criminals (I went to the same art school as Chip, a year behind him)
Walking Dead
There are others, such as Prophet, that I pick up in trade. And I also tend to be willing to try out more of their offerings than any other company besides Valiant. Image really is a great publisher these days. Looking at my list, there is a really broad range of genres covered, all under one roof.

Re: Image books
No... it sounds cool from what everyone says about it here, but it just hasn't lured me in yet. I flip through the odd issue in my LCS, but I'm not inspired to try it... yet. I can't really explain why.lorddunlow wrote:No Manhattan Projects?grendeljd wrote:Image books I currently pick up;

You really just have to read it. The art takes some getting used to, but by the end of the first issue, I was hooked.grendeljd wrote:No... it sounds cool from what everyone says about it here, but it just hasn't lured me in yet. The weird art fits the tone of book perfectly.

It really does. There's tons of crazy details in there. Love the use of the red-wash and blue-wash, too.lorddunlow wrote:+1BugsySig wrote:You really just have to read it. Well , I read the first tpb and thought it was pretty good. Definatly more fact than fantasy unlike MP. There is something oddly familiar about it though and can't put my finger on it.Jace wrote:Yes I have been reading Jupiter's Legacy as well. It seems ok so far, not blown away by it. I'll pick it up someday, for sure. I'm reading far more monthlies now than I have in a long time though, so it's a matter of squeezing it into my budget as well.BugsySig wrote:It really does. Yes I love the fact that all the science is real or very close to it. Now that you mention it sort of reminds you of something else or that it seems familiar you got me thinking ... I think it might feel a little familiar to me too. I have no idea why though ... hmmmm. Sounds like we need more people to check it out and see who can figure out what it is reminding us OF.
