Some time ago I suggested that Valiant employ comic book displays to set apart their wares from everything else on the shelf with something like this. Here's a link to one designed for comics. (it's different than the pic below)

What if we were to procure a number of these, adorn them with Valiant artwork, logos, etc and make them available to our local comic shops? Place them as an endcap or dedicated aisle display or something.

We could do it individually -- or band together, get a batch professionally printed/decorated and then distribute them among the participants. We'd have to find a source where we could get just a dozen or so; you'll note that link has an order quantity of 500.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
I already helped my LCS setup something like this. I need to follow up with them and see if Valiant sales increased. Back in a few! (It's a great excuse to go to the LCS :D )

That is a nice idea... for those who have local comic shops unlike me. :(

When you do your You Tube video, please know that it can be about anything you love about VEI:

The stories
The art
The writers
The artists
The company itself and how fan friendly they are

The possibilities are pretty big on where you can go with this.

It is now 10 days before this promo ends, and Elery and I look forward to what you come up with for YOUR video that will be out there for everyone to see why you love Valiant! :thumb:

8 days left.

Both Elery and I are curious how many members are busy working on their Youtube videos.

Given the creativity which we have seen on the board, we're both sure that something amazing is coming and can't wait to see it! :thumb:

Disappointed that not a single board member was able to produce a You Tube video to win this Valiant rarity. :?

Guess nobody REALLY wanted the make ready of X O #1.

Oh well, we'll just set it aside..........

I was going to say something about not everyone being able to make a video, and lessening the rules a bit would open it up, but I wouldn't want anyone to think I was making it easier for me to enter just by clicking a button.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

While I appreciate the offer Bruce and Elery put together, I just have no idea how to produce a You Tube video that would have been worthy.

We wanted to make it hard given the rarity of the prize that was available. Also, we wanted something permanent that would be out there for VEI to push.

Elery and I only expected a few entries given the difficulty of putting a You tube video together, but we were pretty sure that several people here had the technical ability, coupled with the desire to have a truly rare VEI piece, to pull it together.

Turns out if only 1 person had done something, they would have been the winner on this one. :!:

Bummer guys. I had a great idea for a video, but not the resources to pull it off. Can't win 'em all, fella's. :(
