Anybody get quotes on what these are going to cost? It sounds like these are virtually a 1:200 variant.

They're promotional items for retailers. I think you'll have to negotiate a price at the LCS.

That's ridiculous, imo. I might pay a hundred bucks, tops.

The only way to get one is to order a retailer variant, which obviously costs the store a good chunk of money since there are minimum print runs of 500 copies on those. So a $400 price tag sounds reasonable to me.

Think of it this way. How much does that Diamond retailer exclusive card set in the wood box go for, and how many of those are there? Now how many stores do you think will be getting this axe?

I think it's even rarer than 1:200. Minimum order is 200 #1, and 100 each of #2 and #3. It's almost like a 1:400, really. So, the store has to buy 400 books, which I imagine would cost them at least $800. A store that maybe sells 10 copies of #1, that's a hard sell. I think he's doing me a huge favor.

Emblazoned with the WRATH OF THE ETERNAL WARRIOR logo on the blade and standing 27 inches tall, these once-in-a-lifetime, real-world replications of the Eternal Warrior’s signature weapon will be provided free of charge to participating retail stores in the United States and Canada that have enlisted in Valiant’s WRATH OF THE ETERNAL WARRIOR #1 retailer exclusive program. Other retailers interested in obtaining a custom WRATH OF THE ETERNAL WARRIOR battle axe can submit a request to Valiant directly via the retailers@valiantentertainment.com email address.
Damn, it is, the real deal, I could see a hundred now..

Yes they have. I was playing with one just yesterday. I understand that the dealers are required to keep it in display for a number of months; thereafter they can do with it what they please.

Thanks! Just got notification that ours has shipped and will be on display at E.G. Comics in Vienna starting next week. Stop in and get a pic with the axe! We'll probably offer the axe as part of a future Kickstarter campaign...eventually...if I can bare to part with it!

I have not received mine but we played around with Andy's when he and Venditti stopped by the store. It's nice.

I can tell you that it's a lot more rare than 1:200. Like add a couple of zeroes at the end and you still are not even close.
