Re: Bloodshot: Reborn #10 (The Analog Man) Discussion
Given the high quality of LaRosa's art on this book surely putting him on the 60k print run of Book of Death would have been a wiser move for VEI?
Imagine how much better the art on a book which had the marketing success of BOD would have been and all the new readers that book got into the hands of. Surely would have been a better entry point for new readers with LaRosa art than Gill's? And a better showcase for Larosa on a 60k print run rather than Bloodshot Reborn with less than 15k print run (pure guess!).
Some of the business/creative decisions made by VEI puzzle me, that said they've nailed it this time with the Lemire/LaRosa combo.

I really can't gush about Larosa's work on this book enough. He's just smashing it on these pages, the compositions, the marker rendered light sources, the details... Gah!!! Love it!!! I'm excited to get the black & white directors cut issues to really pore over his work some more.
Also love that these issues have been given prestige printing treatment. Feels like a big event within the ongoing book.

Re: Bloodshot: Reborn #10 (The Analog Man) Discussion
Posted this today. While not directly applicable to the story, it does apply to the issue.
Interesting development for Bloodshot collectors and/or investors.
Both Greg Holland (Valiant Fans) and Martin Ferretti (Valiant Database) have (individually) created (using their own formulas and/or algorithms based in a number of sources and/or distribution factors) estimates of modern Valiant variants in circulation to determine the (likely) number available. Their numbers are slightly different, but not by much, and if you intersect the two (I believe) they are the best possible numbers available.
What was most interesting was that last month's BLOODSHOT: REBORN #10 (LaRosa 1:50 Variant) came in at number 14 on the list. This book is available for cheap right now, since (at the time of this post) no one knows that it is the "Bloodshot Book to Get!!!"
By the numbers:
BS:R #10 (Lemire 1:100 Line-Variant)
vs
BS:R #10 (LaRosa 1:50 Variant)
BS:R #10 (Lemire 1:100 Line-Variant)
VF (estimate) = 670 copies
VDb (estimate) = 675 copies
BS:R #10 (LaRosa 1:50 Variant)
VF (estimate) = 173 copies
VDb (estimate) = 215 copies
SO, this means that the BS:R #10 (LaRosa 1:50) is officially the RAREST variant of the series; and since it JUST came out last month, the odds of getting a few copies is still a possibility.
By all estimations, this book is as HTF as both the Eternal Warrior #5 (Mack 1:50) and Shadowman #13 (Davis 1:50) which BOTH sell for about $500 in CGC/CBCS 9.8.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this is made into a movie, first Bloodshot out of the gate. And for what it's worth, 4 non-Valiant fans were captivated by this issue at my lcs. Says a lot.

Re: Bloodshot: Reborn #10 (The Analog Man) Discussion
This is one of the most exciting VEI issues that I have read in a while. Seeing "Old Man Ninjak" at the end was the kind of surprise that makes me feel like a kid again. Even the prestige format of this book gives the impression that this will be a big storyline.
I can't wait to see where this goes!
