I don't mean to come off as a *SQUEE* here (That's right, the 'but' is coming! ) but doesn't a certain line of logic dictate that 'old timers' have already had their "moment in the sun", making this kind of project a little redundant? :?

I'm all for the idea that there's someone out there trying to do something nice for someone else out of simple admiration/respect, but I'm pretty sure that could be acheived just as well with a meaningful handshake and sentimental statement rather than convoluted projects like this.

Also, I honestly can't tell if that bit about locking comics away until VEI has gone out of business is a genuine intention or a flippant joke :? If that's seriously the plan then it seems pretty deranged to me.

I'm honestly not having a dig here, but if I'm totally honest this whole idea just seems a bit mental :?

I'm just glad it was pretty good, long and drawn out. (that's what she said.)

VEI has also been doing a lot to bring old-timers back on special projects and variant covers, imho.

Dinesh has always been supportive of trying to integrate past Valiant talent, even though the goal (since at least 2012) has been to carve out a new universe and direction.
It's not that I don't have an avatar... I've just been working on it for the last few hundred years.

As far as VEI- I stopped caring about Valiant with "MOTA" where we get to see Phil again... Phil's my guy,
I have no idea what you mean by this. :?
Are you saying you don't like VEI because there is no Phil Seleski?
I think he's referring to either Acclaim's Man of that Atom where we see the Seleski twins, or the Solar: Hell on Earth mini-series where OG Phil Seleski shows up.
Good Morning, that's a nice tnetennba.
The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in...

That's true actually, Vei have been pretty cool about hosting the occasional variant cover or whatever by creators of previous era Valiant comics.

I think it's really great to show some respect for the old guard, but I'm just not sure that this is the way to do it
:?
